Pull up on the trim as you disengage the clips as I did.

Do you need to put screws back into the Xbox 360. Or the whole shell? One night i took our family Xbox apart because it wasn't working but i saved some of the important parts like the fan, the disk drive and the little USB thing you plug into the back. Apparently i threw away all the plastic and i am missing a cord for the extra storage area. I really wish I did more research at that time when i was 14 but mistakes happen. Would it be better to just try to find a new Xbox 360 and plug in old parts or to try to find everything i need?

If the manufacturer put a screw there its there for a reason so yes you should put back in all screws. @ the error is caused by a cold joint in the GPU/RAM area similar to error 102. Apparently it can be resolved by flushing alcohol under the chips, reflowing them and afterwards applying an x-clamp fix. This is what I have read online

@ instead if alcohol use flux, the reflow might only fix it temporarily but worth a try.

the controller can turn on the xbox but it will immediately start blinking and won't pair and havent had luck finding a different controller to purchase, could this be a console or controller issue?

Try replacing the controller first but it could be an rf board or network chip issue both are replaceable

Get an error code by holding down the sync and eject button when the red dot comes on. We are going to be doing a video on this soon.

I ordered a replacement motherboard/disk drive for my xbox360 slim from your website. They look very similar but the replacement is missing the 4pin connector for the hard drive, and the controller pair/sync button. I only see one option on your website.

Thanks for your order. Controller pair and sync button is part of the faceplate www.fasttech.ca/xbox-360-parts/p/xbox-360-s-faceplate which connects to the RF module which is sold separately: www.fasttech.ca/xbox-360-parts/p/xbox-360-s-rf-module The 4 pin connector should be there. It might be in a different place but it should be there. Hope that helps

I had a 360 slim and the disc drive went out replaced it and then it would only play movies but not games then found out about the chip that reads the disc but I got a 360 slim again and a buddy gave it to me it will power on but it won't pull up the Xbox 360 screen just powers on but shows nothing on TV do you know what would possibly be the issue on it. I'm watching this video to check the components on the mother board check the fan for dust because I don't even hear the fan kicking on but it is but I feel no air coming out im doing the basic of what I learned over time but however what would cause my issue and what would help it and what would help with disc drive replacement to get games to read again and not just movies.

need to be careful using t8 drivers on the smaller screws, ended up stripping the heatsink screws fortunately t9 works with all those screws with a better fit.

Hey, I need to replace one of the resistors on my 360 Slim RF board, R67. Do you know the specs for this resistor? Is is a 0603? Is it 30 ohm? I read on a thread that I can just use a jumper from another resistor, is this correct? ANY info you can give would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

@@fasttechvideo I figured it out for my self. it is a 0402 30 ohm SMD chip resistor in case anyone else needs the info. I would rather fix something than just make more e-waste by replacing the part.

Could be a mechanical issue with the disc drive or a problem with the disc drive logic board.

Not completely but more parts have to come off to remove the faceplate than the original Xbox 360
