It's funny how I clearly state in the video I had a lengthy experience with THC and CBD of all mixtures over a long period of time and it didn't work for me and people still suggest it every single other comment. It's funny how people don't realize that MJ isn't a drug that just works miracles for every single person, some people get sick from it.

Barnacules Nerdgasm Since the other posts are filled up, I started calorie tracking after your first video, and I've lost 5 pounds starting Sept 20th. Weighed 233 and down to 228, and my Goal for March next year is to be below 200. I love what you're doing as it just requires self discipline, but I think moderately cheating the diet once a month if fine as long as I don't go over 2300 Calories. My thought process is cheating once a month satisfies my obese cravings without hurting my overall goal. However getting back on the saddle the next day is important to my goal and to change my lifestyle. IMO it's very important to hop back on the diet after a cheat day is to suppress ones urges to reduce future cravings and increase ones willpower. You already have that on lock down being a independent worker with your channels, and just need to apply some of that dedication will help from my experiences. This is the second time in my life that I'm going from Obese to normal, and I'm with on this journey. I'll post up when the calorie counting doesn't work for me anymore as there is a plateau for my height of 5'10, and will need to start exercising to loose weight. Keep up the great work, and "Never give up, never Surrender!" - Tim Allen & Angry Joe Show.

@Barnacules Nerdgasm Man thanks for all your sharing you did. Please throw away the opioids... Try or just research first, going with cannabis medication. It will help you so much with your back pain and other conditions.. You need to find specific variety.. that dont make you "sick" as u said. There is great progression in research about it..

I like these videos. While some might come here for the content alone, I think most people return to you (or any youtuber) because they enjoy your personality and enjoy your company. As such (for me at-least) this just makes me feel like i know you and know who you are a little more. I think its also a good think that people see the ups and downs and the fights other people have to struggle through, and maybe see that they are not alone in their struggles. And with that in mind i think this can be of great help to others. Keep up the good work, you have thousands of people cheering you on.

PS: I'm sure you have already heard of this but for the ADHD I have found that for me it helps immensely to be repetitive. For instance, I like model making and a lot of it is just cutting a little something precisely and glueing it then holding it over and over again. Legos also work. It has been easy for me to do but I also do have any hyperactive symptoms associated with my ADHD. I have also found it can be helpful on the legos side with my depression. As long as I keep them close to me when the depression hits I can usually muster up the strength to mess around with the legos and just build something for 20-30 minutes.

My mother had me on the lowest dosage of Ritalin our doctor would prescribe and I took myself off at 14. ADHD sucks but you learn to live with it your own way. I tap and drum my fingers on things relentlessly. When my ADHD is really bad my fingers will actually bruise, callas, and bleed. The benefit is I can tap along to Metallica's "One" flawlessly.

Hey Jerry, glad to see you're motivated and onto your goals you want. I'm also one that has a lot of medication from doctors for issues and found myself being wore out, no energy to do anything. I decided about a month ago to cut back everything for an entire month and I felt great. With the exception of glucose levels, everything else was fine, no issues. I decided then to only focus on my diabetes issues as the others are fine without all the meds, and cut back even on the number of meds I was taking for diabetes and found my numbers came under control with fewer diabetes meds, I still felt good and had energy. Sometimes I think doctors are soo fast to over medicate or pile one medication on top of another medication trying to get to some mystical outcome that never comes and in the interim the patient slowly goes into a stuper drugged up. Like you said, cutting meds can be dangerous, but I felt my quality of life was worth the risk and so far it has paid off. I hope yours turns out the same and you keep doing well.

Thank you, Jerry, for opening up and letting us get to know you even better than we already do. I am on percocet and fentanyl patches at 22-years-old and have been taking them for roughly two years. When you start going through withdraw - just because someone goes through withdraw doesn't mean they are a heavy, abusive addict - it is the most terrible feeling because you also have to deal with the pain.
@HeliEnthusiast8 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to say this but your life (you specifically) is a delicate balance of mood/pain/addiction/food. I commend your brief moments of resolution but ultimately unless you find a deep conviction for change you're ultimately going to end up chasing your tail. Find something that compels you beyond being sick and tired ... Moments of clarity fade away, will power is fleeting. Think about some of the deepest convictions you have... It doesn't take will power or "moments of clarity" to follow through on your convictions. Convictions are a part of the fiber that makes you who you are. You need to do some deep soul searching and find the conviction for change. I would advise against posting personal videos as a way of policing your bad habits or as a motivational tool to follow through on your half hearted promises.

"Flu like symptoms" People always say that and there is a kernel (pun intended) of truth to it but it's a woefully inadequate description of opiate withdrawal syndrome. Imagine the worst sickness you've ever had in your life combined with psychological/emotional torture (depression, anguish, anxiety, inability to relax AT ALL, EVER, inability to sleep, extreme loss of appetite) constant, never ending muscle cramps, cold sweats, chills, excessive yawning, excessive eye watering, constant need to "stretch" that is never satisfied, feeling like all sensory inputs are being overloaded. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. So, imagine that all at once and you'll notice opiate addicts fear withdrawal WAY more than anyone would fear "flu-like symptoms". They fear it like medieval torture in the iron maiden (air guitar).

Is this not dose dependent? He stated in the video that he wasn't taking a large dose. Also shorter acting opiates like heroin have a much stronger withdrawal. While I agree that opiate withdrawal is horrible, cold turkey off of a low dose would probably only create flu like symptoms.

I suggest taking a look in scholastic journals and research depression and seasonal depression. Mental disorders can really affect your day to day life. The lack of serotonin and having your neurons reuptake serotonin when it's low can really make you lose energy, motivation, and reason. Just because you don't suffer from depression doesn't mean it's not real. They aren't excuses. He has a hard time with this and needs reinforcers to help him continue on his journey. He needs a little extra push since he wasn't as fortunate as you Koen. No need to be an ass.

Actually it makes perfect sense. If you do take other medication along with CBD's or THC, depending on how you are using it, they can both chemically react together in the body. He is talking about Oxycodone or cotin, when you consume cbd/thc with those pills, they counteract. I know from experience. I was on Clonazepam for my anxiety, and I smoked a little bit. When I smoked I just kept getting anxiety, when I didn't take the pills but I smoked I didn't have anxiety. Its weird, but its science

lauris2211 Calories are the main factor in weight. Eat surplus and gain weight. Caloric deficit will cause weight loss. No matter how much you exercise or eat healthy as long as your caloric intake is the same as calories used you will stay the same. There is a negative impact from cutting to many calories at once, as long as you meet macros you will be fine.
@ge27198 жыл бұрын
lauris2211 what ever way you do it you have to eat less calories than you burn to lose weight. am I starving myslef if I eat 2500 calories and burn 1000 at the gym on top on 2500 regularly during a day because I'm lacking 1000 there. so then if exercise and eating right is how to oose weight what's the difference between that and eating 1500 and burning 2500 without using the gym and making sure to get plenty of vitamins minerals salts and fats and things your body cant make from stored fat in that 1500 calories... there is no difference. if you think that's starving yourself then you are wrong. starvation mode takes several days of eating nothing at all.

keep up the great work man, my mom was addicted to her medication and she didnt even know it but her body was dependent on it, so it good to see that you realise that it was trying to control your life.

Thank goodness you're quitting while on perks and didn't let it get further into heavier opiods like so many do. Once again this proves you're a smart man! I wish ya luck with the pain management alternatives.

being severely obese myself I want to thank you for posting this and putting yourself out there. This is very motivating just to hear someone else feels what I feel about weight and losing it. Thank you again.

Good for you buddy! I know the struggle, and I've been where you've been with your weight loss. Keep at it and know you're not alone. As far as the drug, I'm proud you're trying to make a difference and recognized your dependency. Most people realize it only when it is too late, and they slip into worse habits.

Jerry I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate you sharing all of this with us. I think I would never have the courage to share my life in such extend with thousands of people who are basically strangers to me. It is a very brave thing to do and each video you upload reassures me that there is more than hate and trolls on the Internet, but also a lot of caring and loving people who you can rely on to support you. I hope I can count myself to be one of those people.. Stay strong Jerry!

Jerry thanks for the video as always. I can totally relate to the narcotics/pain med...I have been on them for about 20 yrs now and I am on two of the strongest known to man. I have many times, especially in the last year talked to my Dr. about getting off them or trying something new. Her reply is, she doesn't think my health would handle me going through the withdraws. Dude just keep up doing what you are doing. Depression SUCKS! I am also a suffer of that, season changes are the worst for me...Keep your head up!

Good on you man on your weight loss commitment, I know it's hard, especially when you fall off the straight and narrow and also trying to avoid all the food temptations around us, it takes a strong will to stick to a strict diet so I commend you on being strong willed. And I'm glad that you're getting yourself off the drugs for your back pain, I always believe the body will fix itself. I have weight problems like you, I was 142kgs and now 3 months later I'm down to114kgs, I have resisted all temptations around me, while the rest of my family eats badly, I put what's good for me into my body, water, vegetables, lean meats, and sugar-free drinks, and I feel so much better now than what i was 3 months ago, I have more energy, I'm not tired, I'm happier and even walking 10,000 steps a day, 3 months ago I couldn't walk up the steps in my house with feeling over exhausted and nearly having a heart attack, and yes I too was slowly developing back problems because my big gut was too heavy for my back, but now my back is better. It's great watching your videos, and I hope your weight loss journey goes very well for you, thanks for the video and take care. PS: That profile photo of me was how I was 12 years ago when I was 68Kgs.

Sorry to hear your woes... Don't know if this helps or not, but you might like to know, that I started my diet after watch your channel. I was not as heavy as you to begin with, but I was heading in that direction and needed to make a change. I have lost 11kg (24lbs roughly) and have moved from obese to overweight.. I hope to hit a healthy weight before 2017. I had a week off for a holiday, but other than that managed to keep within 1900cal most days. I would like to say thanks for sharing, you gave me that final push that I needed to get started and I am so glad I did. So give yourself the kick up the arse you need and get rid of that extra weight.

Good Job getting back on it. Having a fall is common. What is uncommon is getting up, dusting yourself off and getting back on the horse. You can do it dude! :)

I have started following your way of counting calories in reverse and it works so much better for me. Thank you for the awesome videos and wish you well on your road to being a healthier you.

I just want to say I am happy for you, your wife is a strong woman & a great supporter for you. You just keep up your grind, bro! It is ok to fall off, just pick yourself up and keep grinding. I have been at this for 2 years. I started at 320+ almost 330 lbs. I have dealt with bad pinched nerves & a brain hemorrhage that slowed me down. I am down to 237 lbs right now. Just keep up the grind man! You have great support!

I love your vlogs Jerry. Not the usual patronising BS you would usually get from this sort of video. Just the straight-talking facts and experiences and above all ... blatant honesty. You really are an inspiration to a lot of people I'm sure. I wish you all the very best with everything mate.

Jerry, been there, done that with the opiates. I was in pain management for 25 years and at the end of my journey, I finally decided, as you did, to get off all the drugs for pain and find out where my pain level really was after masking it for years. My withdrawal from methadone (given for Interstitial Cystitis) was hell but I've found that the rewards for being pain med free, far outweighed the benefits of the drug. There is physical addiction and emotional addiction. There is always physical addiction with long term opiate use, it is the psychological addiction, when present, that is the most difficult to get past. I was fortunate that I was never psychologically addicted. Pain management is wonderful for those who need it, which I did for years. But I finally took control of my disease, started addressing the real issues, changing my diet, exercise, etc and the need for those meds diminished. It doesn't work for everyone but I'm thinking of you while you are on the detox journey. You have a friend.
