Jeff's death and Geese's rise to power are events we're only ever told about, but what if they were to show them in a canonical game? The new Art of Fighting would be a great opportunity for that. There's so much potential with a new entry to bridge the gap between the two series.

I wonder if Guile & Chu-Li's background stories had an impact on these working on the 1st FF game. Yes, I'm aware that they were working on this game long before even SF II came out in early 1991. But one can't deny the game influenced the programmers of FF- esp as the guys who created this also previous created SF when they worked for Capcom. Great video nonetheless.

The story of fatal fury has to be the best story of fighting games due to being like a drama instead of a shohen manga and how characters have personality and goals even the main villain geese Howard has goals and ambitions and how he fell to darkness and undoing any good due to keeping him from being weak.
