Jeanne is my favourite character so I'm not really a fan of all her ships but this scene makes me just want to cry ;-;

Ships? I am not aware of anything that can be more canon that this one, but I think Sieg is perfectly fine compared to a bunch of other characters people would commonly consider "interesting", aka more selfish/self-centered. In many ways he is very similar with her, for example how all of his motivations were completely selfless.

I mean, I am not sure there can be anyone better than him for her, since no one else fits the bill of being free of negative human traits.

Jeanne started falling for him when he decided to throw away his freedom just to save his brethren because he said it was the right thing to do, even if it cost him his own life, just like she did once. Sieg started falling for her when she saved his soul by convincing him not to give up on humanity despite their hard flaws. Without her he would have immediately sided with Amakusa after witnessing Jack's past, but the fact she never stopped loving humanity herself despite what they did to her resonated deep within him and no one else (not even Astolfo) would've ever been able to save him. What came out in the end was probably the purest love in all anime history, devoid of any human flaw and corruption, too many people can't see it (or don't want to...).

@@CeriseApple Netflix puts out a pandering show about knights or even twist the king Arthur legend to suit their purposes and I roll my eyes. Japan puts out shows that gender bends legendary heroes and even real people of history and it makes me cry.

To be honest, Apocrypha was a disappointing entry in the Fate series. Compared to Zero, UBW, and HF, the graphics, directing, characters, and story were all disappointing. However, it was a good work as well as the OST.

Some characters were good and it has it's moments, it is mid at best but some episodes did have great animation and direction
