As humiliating it was for Saber to get pummeled by Kuzuki, it really was just a trick enhanced by magic. Kuzukis "snake hand" is basically an assassination technique that fools senses. Sabers precognition like instinct completely backfired on her. Experiencing it once it would never have worked again, but thats why its a killing technique, It should only ever be used once.

Yup, and it's why Shirou did comparatively well. Snake hand tricks the opponent into reacting incorrectly, turning what should have been an optimal response into the worst one. Since Shirou is doing the fighting equivalent of button mashing, it has no effect on him.

So pretty much because Saber can't recover mana she's actually lowing pretty low after multiple fights. You also have the fact Caster's master is not only a very skilled fighter but has a caster class servent to enhance him with her almost unlimited pool of mana

That’s true, but the real reason is that Kuzuki is a master of the snake style of martial arts that excels in unpredictable surprise attacks. The move that he hit Saber with was on he had practiced to perfection, and that single move of his is the only way he could stand up to, let alone hurt Saber. In the VN we are told that once Saber has experienced that attack, she will have no problem dealing with it a second time despite getting absolutely bodied by it since the attack has lost its unpredictability.

Isnt mana transfer like what rin and shirou did ? Which is take off some of their clothes not fully naked and transfer her mana to him by touching him etc you made it seem like they had sex or something

@@Mfmail12484 That's because the anime has the PG version. In the original VN, mana transfer IS sex. (To be more accurate, the anime version could still theoretically work in the VN's verse, but it would be the least effective possible method of mana transfer.)

No Shirou doesn't need anything to create the blades, just because someone is a mage doesn't mean their magical ability is limited to a single thing Shirou simply used what mana (magic power) he has and his understanding of how a blade is made to make his blades while when he uses trace on he's strengthening or repairing a object he's touching while also analyzing and understanding it

Really Shirou's biggest downside is being a human, if he was a Dead Apostle or something similar with a ridiculous base for using magic he'd be genuinely terrifying with the ability to constantly use noble phantasms without backlash.

Gotta say, when it comes to abilities in hand to hand combat Kuzuki and Kirei are probably the best, add magic and idk who would win, cause if I'm not mistaken Kuzuki can do all that thanks to caster's buffs and that's probably magic from the age of gods

projection doesnt work on divine constructs like saber's excalibur and gilgamesh's EA

not exactly. Since Avalon also divine construct of same class as Excalibur, but it didn`t stop Shirou from Fate route (as well as Archer). But they was made by the planet itself. While the thing about Ea that this thing out of this world. And this is real obstacle for Shirou`s projection.

@@BekindBekbek not really Shirou could only manage a crap version of Excalibur and using it had killed him in one of the bad endings. It's only due to Avalon in his body for years and sharing of memories and experiences of saber could he have some luck with Avalon and Excalibur. Otherwise neither Shirou nor Emiya can copy divine weapons

@@skychieftain He`s able to read/scan it, which means that it`s only a matter of power that defines can he copy it or not. Unlike Ea, that he can`t even read. Well, to be sure it`d better have another examples of Shirou`s interactions with Divine Constructs, but I can`t remember those. Btw, if you tell about HF normal ending, it killed him mostly because it was his last aviable projection and using NP attack, just like in that one where he fought Salter.

@@BekindBekbek no. He can only read the structure of man made weapons. He literally cannot comprehend the structure nor abilities of those weapons which aren't made by mortal hands. That's why he can't trace divine weapons.

And also Rin shame on you for leaving Archer out of this important stake out right after the school incident, tired of how people go off on how great Tohsaka is when she makes dumb mistakes like this.

It wasn't really stupid to leave him at home. He said so himself that he'd choose to Ally with Caster instead of Shirou, meaning any time they go after Caster he'd be more like a liability than anything else. Remember, he can't attack Shirou himself, but that doesn't mean he can't get him killed indirectly. Rin also has only one Command Spell left. Taking Archer into a situation where you're likely to need to use that command spell just to make him do what you like the one time before he's completely free of your influence? It's a bad idea. When it comes to Saber, there's an explanation of that as well. Kuzuki basically just used her precognition like instincts against her with a fighting style made to fool the senses. Add that his blows were being boosted seemingly by Caster's own Magic(Kuzuki himself isn't a mage apparently so in theory he can't do that), and you get something that, while it can't *really* hurt them, could at least take a surprised servant out of a fight for a few seconds,

@@colt1903 For your first reasoning; its exactly because of having one command seal that she should have kept him close, and Archer was voicing his opinion at the time. For your second; Saber still had higher combat skills, convenient Mana Burst and superior physicality. The reason she lost was sudden plot induced bad judgement in battle, a trope called "Jobbing".

@@GC-Shadow1327 so Saber is fighting in a weakened state due to Shirou being a bad mage and in the VN if Kuzukie tried to fight Saber again his sensory disruption technique wouldn’t work on her a second time so basically he dies if he tries to fight her again

@@GC-Shadow1327 I think you’re downplaying Kuzuki he basically threw Sabers senses haywire and that’s what allowed him to do so well that kind of move can allow you to get the advantage over the best fighters and as I stated before his technique is supposed to be used once as a kill move so it wouldn’t work on Saber twice
