The Hermione/Ron comparison is actually pretty apt. Rin-Hermione: Extremely well read-up on magic. Academic. Prodigious teenager. Honor student (basically). Not particularly social. Dark and bushy hair. Hidden attraction. Ron-Shirou. Tall. Red hair. Interested in and good at sports. Strong hands. Underdog. Insecurities related to family. Has to play second relative to someone on their vicinity. Also Saber is probably getting a bigger harem in this abridged show than Shirou does in the entire series.

also when you play the fate route of the vn during the assassin/saber fight, with only the intel you get from the game, the obvious conclusion for her identity was Jeanne (young woman, blond=> associated with western european in manga, medieval armor, invisible magical sword => sword jeanne broke on the back of a prostitute and was associated with victory by her followers, with its breaking marking her end, blue gold and white colors associated with the french monarchy even if technicaly herself was more associated with red, and jeanne being pretty popular in japan at that time appearing in multiple manga games and animes)

This is one of the odd cases where fanfiction does a good job of covering Shirou's character. They often drop into his internal narration (without that, he comes off completely different). That's also one of the things I really like about this take on him, too. As much as the play him up for the joke, they also do a good job of accurately portraying him at the same time.

Picture FFD Shirou, having just postponed the War after dealing with Caster, utterly exhausted with no Snark Filter on because he's too tired. During chapters 52 and 53 THIS Shirou Emiya, The White Queen's Dog, all snarked up is participating in Waver Velvet's Trial....... against the Eizenberns and not Illya's grandfather, but of her more prideful cousins. That scenario should be fun enough.

@@e-duh3529 Musashi and Munenori I guess, Artoriais definitely top tier, but let's be honest here, Sasaki had a SEVERE stats disdvantage, he didn't even have a magic sword, he was literally a normal dude fighting with a Nodachi you could probably buy from somewhere, without even using his E rank str stat as that would bend the sword, put both of them in the same stat and I am 90% sure Sasaki would demolish her.

The British King being called French is not an insult, it's fact... or used to be anyway in medieval times. The British and French royal lines were very closely related and for a long time the language at the British royal court was French. Okay that doesn't apply to Arthur/Arthuria, what with him/her being a peasant who pulled a magical sword out of a stone... but the real-life British Kings were like that.

i think it just as to do with his perception of himself as a warrior, he isnt someone who sneaks around in the shadows, use poisons etc. He really isnt cut out to be a assassin class, his swordsmanship is the real deal and he always fights his opponents from the front with his swordsmanship. As a wraith made after the image of someone who deeply cared about duels and warrior's etiquette, its understandable he would see the "assassin" role as beneath him.

Surprisingly enough fake assassin is superior in swordsmanship than most servants. the reason why he's considered weak is because 1. saber is sasaki's main class and 2. his stats are really low as an assassin.

I'm not sure if we can say it was this Sasaki's main class. This Sasaki never really existed. There might have been a man with that name, might have been a man who wielded the same sword, and might have been a man who performed Tsubame Gaeshi, but they weren't the man we know as Assassin. He's a phantom cobbled together from legends and traits that may have existed independent in other people but not together within a single man who became a Heroic Spirit. That's the point the source material emphasizes as far as I understand it anyways.

It has more than one level, in a meta level back in the days when saber's identity was not a given, one of the more popular guesses was Jeanne for obvious reasons, that was later introduced in-story by Gilles mistaking her for Jeanne, and later Jeanne being designed to kinda look like Art ,and now Jeanne even has a saberface attribute or something like that

Void( to be more detail void is closer to ether the fifth of the five normal elements(ether) than Sakura's) is a different origin to be exact Sakura element/origin is one of the the two imaginary elements to be exact Hollow(also referred to as imaginary numbers) which is defined as what is possible but not in a physical plane, the other one is nothingness which deals in that which is not possible but materlises(and in iPad so nope the spelling )

I can't get over Rin's voice in this episode. It sounds so different. Did she get a new voice? If so, then that makes me sad. I liked Rin's previous voice. Also, the main point of Shinji's conversation with Shirou wasn't the flirting with Rin part. That was part of it, but the main point was "please tell Rin not to kill me she's scary".

Reason why i feel in love with fate sn was of each and every Servant having blank page with their noble phantasm showing off at some point which always turn out to be a pure bs ability - Berserker having 12 lifes, Medea and her rule breaker, Rider Petrification eyes which the second you set your glance upon her eyes youre at her mercy without any Magic Resistance, Saber's Excalibur (Havens Feel take it to the next lv with infinite mana) and Avalon, Lancer's Gae Borg which tracks your heart once its activated and its completly unavoidable, Archer's Rho Aias which was the only way for Gae Borg to even change trajectory and ofc his UBW, Gilgamesh its a walking bs and True Assasin....well hes just there.. Kojiros Tsubame seems like a lesser bs compared to all the crap mentioned.
