I felt it was a definite improvement over season 1 and a lot more emotional especially with Beatrix as the woman who she set out to help threw her away when she wasn’t useful anymore lost the only father she ever knew and like bloom did in season 1 made many bad choices solely to find out her past

@@rain_k1202 I agree with this, on another show called Fort Salem, witches used sound all the time to manipulate the mind. So depending on how the writers go, it possibly could be a very slight connection between her being a mind fairy and sound. Another thing that I just hope people keep in mind is that as the fairies get powerful, they can access different types of magic. A good example is Roslyn who was a mind fairy, but you’re seen her perform several forms of magic that had nothing to do with the mind, specifically when she used ice magic on bloom to freeze her. So my hope is that, even though Musa is a mind fairy that she essentially channels that into sound base magic.

Okay but like Sebastian being related to Valtor/being Valtor? I personally hope that he's actually Valtor's son. Like how cool would that be. He mentioned his father and it would be nice to have Valtor as a villain, his backstory that involves Bloom's parents (that would explain why Sebastian knows so much abt them) and the relationship between him and was Sebastian was trying to do with the dragon flame. I definitely think the original winx club series has so many interesting plot lines and characters that I would LOVE to see on the screen. I also need them to introduce Enchantix or something, like the way the fairies obtained that power was so interesting (saving a loved one). Also season 2 was GREAT, so much better than the first one.

No you guys, he's Valtor's son. He even mentioned that his dad was trapped in the dark realm or whatever. I think. Anyways, Valtor is the one who Bloom sees at the end. Remember Valtor also had long hair like bloom's. I doubt she sees her mother this soon.

His name being Sebastian Valtor was just an easter egg. He's not connected to the cartoon character. Valtor is also a wizard and had grey/beige hair. Let's also not confuse him with Lord Darkar lol

Season 2 is better. Seems the backlash for S1 did a good thing. Netflix listened and they are making the show more close to cartoon story. The outfits are getting better too. Flora being added with perfect look based from the OG. They also seems removing some characters that weren’t OG. They killed Fara though, I am guessing maybe Grizelda will show up as the new headmistress? Icy and Darcy coming and hopefully Tecna too. I thought they were trying to make Beatrix as Tecna, she did sacrifice herself like the OG Tecna though. I think s2 is a bridge to wrapped up the bad script they did on S1 Excited for the S3 hopefully it is sooner and more episodes.

They did beatrix so dirty, they kidnapped her and left her without powers, murdered her dad and toxic mother figure she has devoted her life to, and just as she finds out that she has sisters they f-ing kill her off too, not to mention everybody treats her like crap the whole season. After all the backlash of S1 they’re finally listening and re-organising the story line close to the cartoon one. Beatrix wasn’t ever part of the winx club. That’s why they put her in a bad light to form one of the three trix witches, which are known for being on the bad side. Together with her 2 sisters, she will be resurrected by Darkar. Her name, the twins grave powers and the shadow figure were easter eggs. On top of that the female that bloom saw could be Daphne and might make a return as teacher at Alfea same for the ancestral witches. That’s why she heard voices in S1 and means she took the portal to Domino. For those who don’t know Daphne: she acts as a guardian spirit of sorts, guiding her through her troubles with both her magic and adventures, telepathically communicating with her if she has any trouble. There’s also a chance that Bloom might turn into dark Bloom. However, for that taking place, Brandon, Tecna and Tim must make a debut

The ending scenes with Flora and Musa made me sad. Flora having scars can be something that could really mess her up mentally going forward. Maybe if they bring Helios in he can help her through it? And poor Musa she needs to learn to embrace her magic not push it away.

this season was incredible! a 10/10 for me, I do wish we had more scenes of flora using her powers and I wish musa had a power change because at the moment she is very weak, perhaps mind fairies could have energy manipulation? Finally the outfits, I wish we had some sort of outfit that is based from the original, dont get me wrong I dont want some party city halloween fits but it would be nice to have something. Because the wings are amazing but the outfits they wear just make it underwhelming, for example Aisha had amazing water wings, but under it she had a sports outfit on which ruined it a little bit for me.

I think it's pretty good. In season two, there are many twists and initially I thought seb is on the good side while Rosalind is evil fairy. However, things turn out not like what I think. There's no wrong or right. Since everyone has their own different perspectives, there's conflict and fight between them.

That’s who I think it is, he/his power is the opposite to The Dragon Flame and it would make sense to have him as a big main villain in season 3. Also them mentioning Beatrix’s sisters makes me think Beatrix will be resurrected, take a new name ; and become The Trix with her sisters (working under Darkar). If it this doesn’t happen it’s a big missed opportunity on the writers’ side.

Yes, she is incredibly selfish. She again and again makes reckless choices and somebody else is made to pay for them. At the beginning I thought she learnt something from previous season, but nope, no, the same shit. Also, the whole thing seems to be disconnected. Like one episode, Silva is the fugitive and the next teaches. Like they didn't air some episodes. But they did build the characters better, they are more likeable now - I understand why they hang out together, but I don't understand why they are willing to risk their lives for each other.

@@h.p.5221 that's not her mother in the shadow realm, it's VALTOR. he had so much build up to this point plus with the way that person was dressed it seemed more like Valtor. i doubt bloom gets to see her birth parents this soon in the show. valtor however should be the next to make an appearance along with the trix. I've also seen some people talking about Dakar and Dark Bloom, so we shall see.

In season 1, Farah said that Rosalind had a lot of knowledge of ancient spells and she taught them how to combine their magic a.k.a convergence (this is what it was called in the animated series), which they thought was impossible before the Aster Del massacre. Maybe, the girls were able to get rid of Sebastian so easily because they used Convergence magic. They were tampering with the convergence crystal earlier. It could be the likely reason why they were able to combine their magic and use Convergence so easily. Earlier Bloom channeled her Dragon Flame into the crystal to help restore Musa's powers. So when the girls discharged their powers from the crystal, it could be that a part of the Dragon Flame went inside each of them, which could explain why the girls were able to transform so easily. I don't think it was "just" Farah's advice that helped the girls transform. It would be a total cliche if Farah's advice and encouraging words made them transform. Besides, I remember there was this one time, in the animated series, the girls had to rely on Bloom's powers to transform. The transformation was called BLOOMIX. I think it could be a nod to that.

I was searching online to see if anyone thought the same thing. I was like why are they still pulling on magic after they stopped. Now I know Aisha said it was an effect from not finish channeling through the convergence crystal, but before that I thought why does it seem like the dragon's flame power seemed to have to have been drawn into the other fairies. They all were saying how powerful they felt. I may be wrong but thats what it felt like. Also mastering your emotions doesn't sound that easy. At most I think over time after going through trials could they do it on their own, makes more sense to me for writing at least.

I loved this season, but I was expecting Musa to lean in more on her powers. However, it seems we'll be getting the famous/infamous Riven & Musa relationship. I was sad that Beatrix died doing the right thing, but now I'm concerned about the letter Stella read about Isobel and Darcy Daniels. I know in the cartoon there was an Icy, Darcy, and Stormy and together they made the trix, so now I'm curious to if Beatrix will stay deceased long and if her birth name is actually Storm or Stormy and how if(hopefully) there's a third season they may gain power during the third season to become the next villains or prepare to be the next big villains. I did want Aisha to be a princess, but Solaria seems to be the only kingdom in this universe. I loved the addition of Flora(but I wanted to see her use her powers more), I also wanted to see more classes like for exploration as well as more training sessions at the stones. Maybe there will be a new fairy later on, more specialists who aren't secretly working for the bad guy. Obviously more magic. It's like every(nearly every) winx member is now dealing with an issue whether they're new or old. Bloom leaving to close the portal and rid the other world of the dragon fire as well as find her birth mother, Aisha with finding out that her first boyfriend was a blood witch and him lying to her.opening her heart to the possibility of love, Musa with her powers even though she seemed to be getting the hang of it she's still plagued by them and sometimes misused them even though she meant well so she subdues them and starts training as a specialist, Stella's lost Beatrix as a friend since Sebastian killed her and then her mom, and then Flora's wound from the scrapers seems to have physically and emotionally taken its toll. There's also the dark realm/realm of darkness which I thought would be like shadowhaunt(it seems the same as the real world for the time being), and that the shadowlike being was like Lord Darkar. But it seems that he may bring back Beatrix, and give her a wicked powerup and if she branches off and meets her sisters and they get the same....:Trix. Other than that I wish there were more realms or kingdoms to explore. ~If your eyes are tired and wish to go no further, stop and let them rest here. *Also some of the outfits were better and fit the characters, the outfits for the important voting party(I don't remember what it was called), I thought Musa's outfit was very much something that the animated musa would wear, second to that I liked Stella's too. But Bloom's seemed a little...ill-fitting. I think whoever did the outfits could have done a bit better for her. I think Aisha's outfit portrayed her as serious(how she wants to be taken), I liked all of Flora's outfits including the party one(but I was expecting more flower/nature type outfit), Terra's to me was just showing us who she already is. I know this show is in a different plain from the animated series and takes a more darker tone, but I feel like if they're going to outfit characters according to the animated ones that everyone should get a good outfit(but then again there's budget). I kind of wonder now that four of winx have transformed will they look into more transformations(higher levels). I also wonder who will be the new headmistress. As well as this winx world's origin story of the dragon flame since Bloom's mother also had it according to Sebastian. I know many would like this to be like the animated series(I am too in some aspects of the show, but not all). I just think since there are budgets and scheduling that it's hard to push all of everyone's wants into 6-7 episodes especially if the direction of the show is to go into the opposite direction keeping the characters, personalities, realms the same(not all) but a different story altogether. I just hope that in the future we can at least get 8-10 episodes, because I think it may be a better to transition the story that way instead of leaving it feel sort of rushed.

Worst thing : writing off Sam because the loud part of the community (not the one that actually cares about the animated series and the show) wanted Musa to be a 16 years old fragile girl again, in love with an emo anger issues boyfriend. Meanwhile, Musa is a full-fledged woman who deserves Sam, her absence of chaos, instead of Riven, pure chaos. (You could argue that Riven is so stupid that his brain is empty, making him an absence of chaos in some sort of way)

I literally stayed up until 3 am to watch the first couple of episodes, they were just so good. But, I think I have to watch the whole season again because I'm so confused by what happened. After season 1, im not sure if it was the writers or the actress change but I was prepared for Rosalind to be this big bad villain they said she was in season 1. Idk I think the actress they got to replace Leslie Sharp wasn't intimidating enough for the role. Also, all the plot twists made like no sense. Like Stella and Beatrix being bffs in the first episode felt random. Andreaes attitude toward Sky, like I thought he would be happy to be reunited with his son. And all the villain changes like idk it felt like too much suff was happening with characters leaving, being killed that they lost the characters in a way

I think the thing with the blood whitches could have been introduced in season 3 instead of just packing everything in this season with Rosalind and the power change, blood whitches, people going missing, scrapers like it kind of looked good but it was too much for just 7 episodes. I felt really bad for Beatrix this season. Like she was bad ass and seemed to have a big purpose in season 1. Then in season 2 she's basically a secretary. Like the writers had no plan for her after Rosalind was free. Like there was no point in her character after that. I dont remember but did they ever discuss the whole Beatrix and Sky sibling thing?

Then What was the point to make them in the first place I like them as a pair. Then They bought Sky gather I hope at least for something like some moment with Sky and him but nothing happen and then they killed him like that. If Beatrix saw him as father figure I hoped for Sky and Beatrix some moment like siblings nothing. Why did they even show him in the first place when he died and everything goes as nothing happened. There were so many plot holes. I honestly was hyped for this season but they let me down. Even Sebastian as villain was better then Bloom in this season and they make him dirty in the end like that. Still little better than s1.They gave us alot of characters but they didn't do nothing with them.

@@dan7892 @dan 789 I completely agree with. I was so hyped for this season and I was a bit disappointed. There was way too many plot holes. Especially, with the whole Andreaes thing. I mean we saw he was more attached to Beatrix than Sky, even though we did see him steal a baby picture of Sky. And they did nothing with it. Even when Sky killed him Andreaes didn't say sorry, I'm proud, or anything for what an ass he was to Sky for no reason. There was no point in having him or Queen Luna this season. I think we definitely lost who the characters were this season. Rosalind didn't seem as conniving, or brilliant as they made her out to be, Stella lost her confidence, Musa and her powers I have mixed feelings about since last season she has struggled feeling other emotions. Tera was about the same just a bit more judgmental, and Bloom lost herself in trying to find out who she was and looking for answers after Rosalind had nothing for her. I kind of want them to redeem themselves in season 3 but I honestly don't know where they can go from here. I mean season 2 just had too much, if I had it my way I would have put a bit more of the burned ones in the first 2 episodes since Rosalind said there was a bunch more, continued with Rosalinds villain arch through the season, then introduce the scrapers stealing magic to then the scrapers stealing Rosalind and some of the winx magic and bring in the blood witches. Well according to alot of people Sebastians last name is Valtor so that would fail. Its more likely lord Darkar and would fit alot more since hes embodiment is shadow phoenix and what we saw was definitely a creature of shadow. Would also make sense since the portal was only open a short time for a powerful magic user to have left that world and Darkar would fit the bill

Season 2 was definetly better then season 1 for me. The most offputting things about it where the sudden and badly explained time jumps. On top of that i find bloom really unpleasent to watch... That is a shame, because all the other girls are unique and quirky and have enjoyable characters. But they didnt write the protagonist as good as the other characters in the show. But i liked, that none of the antagonists in were bad for the sake of being bad, instead they painted them morally gray and even heroic, or understandable at times. Also the sudden mentions of what lies beyond alfea from time to time made the world open up and i hope to see more of the cool fairy stuff in the future.

Otherwise he would mention the shadow being possibly be Lord Darkar, that Bloom kis going to meet Mariom and learn about her past, would be cool if Domino and Daphne are mentioned to her by Mariom and that the great war from her past led to Mariom losing control of the dragonflame destroying Domino. Far stretch, but we werent left much to go on. Icy and Darcy beign mentioned on the paper was cool, with Darkar being over Stormys grave could be cool if he resurrected her

I think the realm of darkness is the realm of darkness because the dragon flame LEFT. Once it’s returned it won’t be dark anymore. I bet it’s the realm that Blooms mother is from. The flame was put into Bloom and she was put into stasis thus making the realm dark.

He seemed to not care of everyone that he loved… which was the whole morality of Sky. I will say, that I liked the beginning of Riven’s character arch. Overall, I agree. Disappointing :(

I was annoyed by the filler episodes in the beginning and eager for some real action with more powers getting into the scene. However it was okay for the most part although I feel like Sebastian got exactly what he wanted when they took him out. They had to kill him so the portal could be opened and somehow Beatrix was a part of it. Also think her two sisters are Icy and Darsie.. Whatever they'll call them in this series. Kinda fits considering she's more witchy than fairy. Disappointed that Fara didn't stick around long enough to exonerate Bloom and to lead the school. Was hoping she'd just be back but sadly not the case. Musa could've done a better job of using her powers more like Phoebe did on Charmed when she became an empath. Channelling other fairies powers would have made her kick ass. Wondering if our usual characters from the animation will show up at some point in the series.

Well they are following the Cartoon, Icys real name is Isobel and Darcy is Darcy. Two names on Paper were Isobel (Icys real name) and Darcy. Stormy (Beatrix) used lightning magic which Beatrix used all the time so everything checks out.

season 2 falls victim to tv show scripting, the first 4 episodes felt just like season 1, no growth and just fighting teachers and secrets just like the in season 1, when tv shows do this for formula reasons it kills the show because there is no progression for the viewer and its just the same frustration over and over again

So it ended on episode 7 but on IMDb there's 8, so it's not completely the finale? but OMFG what a phenomenal season. the amount of happiness and to mention LITERAL GOOSEBUMPS i had at the transformations this season. it's not over yet guys there's so many things we know as Winx fans that could honestly be put as plot in the Winx saga that was also in the original cartoon. Lord Darkar(maybe the villain will just be called Shadow), Icy and Darcy(i don't think Beatrix will be risen from the Dead by Shadow/Darkar, more of bloom learning about her past, hopefully the rest of the girls transforming and more! Please Netflix don't you ever c-word this show, let it finish in a way that would make Winx Club fans happy!

Beatrix's entire character has been done so dirty imo. In season 1, she was very powerful and a real threat to the winx. In season 2, the creators stripped her off her powers, made her weak and just a pawn in everybodys plan, and overall just lose her original charm. She couldve been a powerful ally or a huge villain for the winx, but no shes dead...

One of the weakest parts of season 2 was the love interest between Stella and Beatrix. It was immediately apparent they were making the 2 up a couple right from the get go of season 2, but didn't actually do any work to set up the relationship. It was just, oh, they're a couple(ish) now. My biggest fear in season 3 is that the writers will cometely forget that Beatrix is polyamorus after they resurect her and continue to develop the relationship between Stella and Beatrix. Itnwould be very good if the writers were to explore how Stella deals with the fact that she has to share Beatrix's affections with Dane IF she wants to be in a relationship with Bea. I would also like to see them have Musa rediscover, so to speak, her Fairy powers, as she shouldn't really be allowed to be a Specialist. As Riven explained, Specialists aren't just random humans brought into the other world to be Specialists, they have their own kind of magic that allows them to be extra in combat. Allowing Musa to become a specialist, just because she doesn't want her Fairy powers, undues this whole concept. It becomes lazy writing if they allow her to transition to being a Specialist, it makes the Specialists, well, not special. The last point that I was disappointed in, was the show runners unwillingness to let parental figures be bad. I'm thinking of Andreas in particular. It was a huge missed opportunity to show him as an abusive parent to Beatrix, which could serve as a driving force behind Stella's burgeoning relationship with Beatrix. But nope, they had to redeem him and make him out to be a good parent after all.

albeit the backlash of season 2 i cannot lie, this season for me... was just INSANELY enjoyable to watch, Stella's acting was so good that she is by far my favorite character, next to musa who's acting was definitely better than season 1. Stella, Beatrix, and Musa's character development this season was so fun for me to watch, although for bloom, i don't really know, she may be the main character but she is so bland imo, i am having way more fun watching the other fairies go through their stories than bloom, hopefully season 3 makes bloom a much more rich character. The last scene of the fairies transforming was so awkward to watch, but awkward in a good way? like i'm glad they added the transformation sequence that they had in the cartoon, but i don't know they just look so stiff for some reason, their wings looks incredible though.
