John- enjoy your videos. I'm 69, and have played or over 40 years. Appreciate your personality (and the fact that you don't curse on camera). Just a word on putting, something that has helped me immensely.If you will go back and notice Shawn's (Sean's?) left elbow, it is bent more than his right, and is not touching his body. Keep the bend throughout the stroke. This allows you to get your left side out of your way, and allows the right hand to gauge and guide the shot. Works for me, (and Shawn!). PS this is under my wife's name. I'm Bob. Blessings!

I can honestly say I’ve learned more about my own skills from watching your videos. For you, I recommend building your endurance. When u get tired, I notice you swing more “out-to-in” and with the putting, commit to the shot. You usually pick a great line but the follow through is what’s killing you. Great videos bro!!!!

John, your videos are so entertaining. The content has gotten better with each one. The shot tracer is an incredible touch also. Needless to say I need more videos!!! I’ll be waiting lol. Good luck bud

I speak for myself and what I see that your doing right is the hole by hole account of your game. You keep it short and sweet . Great to see another upload. I was all pumped to play after the last one so I went out and shot a 45 in 9 holes. Really wish I could've played the back to try for a 90. Don't feel bad about a bad round though, I think I shot in the high 50's the first several rounds (in 9 holes) I played this year and I've been playing for 13 years. Trust me, I know the feeling when my buddy can shoot a 92 with half the amount of experience and I'm getting killed shooting a 101.

I enjoy watching your videos so much that I'm commenting on a video for the first time ever. Normally I would just stop watching a channel when something happens that I don't like but these videos and your journey are fun to watch. I'm only saying this to help you because it will dramatically change your game and it has nothing to do with the golf swing or technique. Be mindful of your self talk. I'm very close to not watching your videos anymore because you beat yourself up too much. Especially about your short game. Majority of what your commentating is negative and you will become a better golfer with a more positive and growth mindset. Thanks for listening.

Hi John... I really enjoy your videos. You’re striking the ball really well ... have improved heaps over the journey. I think you struggle with the putting ‘cos your gut gets in the way ... can you alter your putting stance to free the stroke up a bit ?
@kestenkele9626 жыл бұрын
1 way you can be much better, is if you use different clubs, you always use driver for the par 5 and 4s. Try using long irons or clubs you are good at using like 3 wood or hybrid and you can stop the hooks or slices.
@SteveMatic6 жыл бұрын
"I wish I was better at golf" haha. If I got a buck for everytime I said that aswell. You've improved massively tho. Just keep going.

What was the putter that u were using that u said u replaced?
@jimmywethington20476 жыл бұрын
Tip that helped me, if you are 200+ yards out, break it down to 2 shorter shots. For instance, i hit an 8 iron about 120-130. If I'm 250 out, I'll hit two 8 irons into the green. That way it takes those 50-60 yard shots out of play. I'm hitting out of the fairway more often too.
@GooseDuck-ft4ko Жыл бұрын
If I'm 250 out I hit a 4 hybrid into the woods and 5% of the time on the green.

Also notice how Shawn tends to accelerate about midway in his forward swing? That would really help your consistency on your shots man. A good drill is focus on your right elbow on the range and "drop it into the slot." So you'll take your elbow once your at the top of your back swing and drop it towards your right pocket before you begin your acceleration which should occur through your hips. Best of luck man and I hope this helps!
