Back in the 1960's there was chatter in outdoor magazines about bears getting way too aggressive in areas where hunting was stopped. As now back then the idea of harassing bears to put fear back into them came up. Don't recall if that was tried or not. Rifle launched grenades seem like a viable choice for harassment.

But there was something about watching this bear completely helpless as it was coming to shore, only to be Hammered the moment it touches land. 😒 huh...?? Didn't feel like "hunting" a bad bear that was encroaching on ur home, just my personal opinion, but just didn't sit well with me.

A giant grizzle bear is too close if WITHIN 100 yards of a camp or homestead. They can travel 20 miles a day easily.
