I love hearing this man speak. An absolute joy whenever I see his face in my KZbin feed.

Wonderful clip, I love the stories of Saint Paisios ... At 55 I enquired, two years later after a patient journey I will be baptized into the Orthodox Church on Theophany 2021. As was taught to me then, take your time and truly learn, Orthodoxy will be there when it’s your time.

How can I become an Orthodox Christian, living in a rural place with no such church, and an era of all churches being shut down by medical tyranny? I ask this in all sincerity.

@@FakeCrisRealTyranny It is a bit far, but Vancouver is full of them. There are Greek, Russian and Ukranaian Orthodox churches. If there is time, you can visit one. I'd suggest the Greek.

@@lupinthe4th400 Yes, I've looked them all up. As far as I can tell, the two Greek ones are only offering livestreaming of services. Ditto the Russian ones. And anyway, it would mean getting up at 5 am for the 6:20 ferry, home late afternoon, and a chunk of money to take my car over the water. Not gonna work.

@@FakeCrisRealTyranny since you are excused for living far from church, maybe you could just try it for once and see how it goes. But not now. Wait till the pandemic ends.
