I’m so happy to hear that Mr. Burton spoke up about a desire for his character to have healthy relationships. I made that same observation at that time. TNG was my favorite Star Trek incarnation. He gets more handsome with age. What a lovely daughter he has.

I've met the cast of TNG and they are incredible people. Funny, kind and beautifully humble. I cried taking pictures with Marina and Jonathan (Troi and Riker), cuz I luv them SO MUCH, and Marina hugged me, rubbed my back, played with my hair, complimented me and just talked to me 4ever. Then Jonathan grabbed me by the shoulders, said "u are beautiful and so sweet but BEAT IT KID, your holding up the line"! Marina started laughing and said "don't u dare make her leave". Jonathan looked down at me, smiled and said "thanks kid, you just got me in trouble with the wife" and literally shoved me outta line (all in good fun). It was an amazing experience and so funny. They are so rad! Luv ST Picard Season 3 so much! and btw, I'm 42! lol ❤✨️

Just got divorced after 18 years, and I'm not a beauty queen, but I could pass for being their kid..kinda look like a mix between Riker and Troi (or so I've been told when I lie to people that I show the picture to). 📸 Everyone says, "Oh, is that your mom and dad"? well the GREAT NEWS is with Tim Mtalas & Gene Roddenberry's Son (his real life son) running these Star Trek Shows...if you Notice [ I have ] they're not playing around with racial biases, any prejudice of yesteryears. in fact their interviews [ which I read ] they specifically said P.O.C & Women will have MORE of an Impact in ALL of their shows, be a part of the story as they should be. and quote. but to also add that their blending there characters into the stories soo it all formulates really well.... Levar was right. Geordie having trouble with women never seemed believable. He wasn’t the nerdy guy who lacked social skills. The writers bought into the stereotype about engineers.

If you have watched the show and films and followed the actors over the last three decades, you would know the poor writing of women and minority characters was a major bone of contention and still is in the books and novels. Gates McFadden got fired for speaking out. Marina Sirtis' character was literally a potted plant for many years without a decent story arc. Linda Park and Anthony Montgomery were very upset about being tokens. This rarely happened to white males or those playing Vulcans and Klingons. Currently, people are upset that it took until the sixth episode to see Geordie while Troi has been seen for all but one minute!

I've followed Star Trek from the very beginning and have been a fan of each and every incarnation. Next Gen is my favorite and I've always admired Geordi's character. I haven't seen Picard, but would love to. Unfortunately, it's on yet another service requiring a subscription and I really don't watch that much TV anymore. His daughter is lovely and you can feel just how proud he is. Close captioning can be funny sometimes. It says not only is Geordi married, he has two cannibal daughters.

It's so worth it! Just binge it all in a month. They certainly explore new things, but it's amazing when they bring everyone back. It's not episodic like TNG, each season is a story and it sucks you in, and allows them to bring out more emotion.
