This is so sad. I did not grow up in Oakland but I was born there. Went to Catholic school there. By the time I got to the fifth grade things were so bad I had to change schools. It wasn't safe to walk down east 14th Street to school. I feel bad for the good people who call Oakland home. You deserve better. Prayers to the mother and children of this man. Just heartbreaking.
