My Great Uncle is an exorcist of the Catholic Church. It wasn't his choice, when a catholic priest retire but still wants to work, the Bishop usually give him a side task on the dioscese, for him it was exorcist. He was kinda perplex at first, but then quickly started to love this. And it is indeed true that 99% of the time, he is just a free catholic psychiatrist. He is then followed by a team of parishioners that are psychiatrists or with similar competencies that can take over or recommend to medical professionals. Sometimes, the person who called him really want something, so he does a "show", like burning the object that is cursed. Like all services of the Catholic church this is 100% free, but sadly many people fake that they are catholic exorcist and ask for payment after exorcism, abusing people in distress.

I am not part of any church, I don't have a religion, but I do believe. In the world, every religion's responsibility to enforce compassion, kindness, and protect the people from themselves. Everyone is a sinner, even priests, exorcists, the Pope himself, or any head of religion for that matter. Sins are always in everyone, and religion's purpose is not to eradicate sins, but to prevent people from succumbing to them. The only one who can fight evil is the one who knows it. The arrogance and pride is the main reason why religions can't work together to fight this evil. So if we want to defend ourselves, we must reflect on ourselves first.

@@shoulderpyro True. Bad choice of words. But it's also true that sometimes the law of whatever country the person is in could be guiding them into morally wrong acts. This is why religional institutes are so high up, so they can have a choice in the matter. It's very important to make those laws within the confines of good morals, and religion provides those morals. The problem is that many people think religion are laws themselves, and treat it very factual. But really, the teachings of religion are actually guidelines to good morals.

People who act like evil does not exist has never faced evil in their life and I pray that, for their safety, they never have to face evil. Those of us who have faced evil turn to that which can only save us, Jesus Christ; he is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. 3:52 I love Bishop Lumumba's face when Amorth squares up, a tight little smile cos he knows what's coming and he's loving every minute. No reaction when the girl gets mentioned, still smiling when Amorth tells them all to talk to his boss. 😆

Ahhh yes........giving power to a young man without experience. An then when challenged.......he realises his power is meaningless to a Man with experience. I love it.

The young priest is like the woke progressive movement in the western world. Like the symbolism.

Thats what middle age does to a Man. Plus he's a big fan of beer. And unlike most other actors he's not into roiding and dieting. Even in Gladiator he was natty, his preparation was working on his farm for 6 months. He's always been a pretty beefy bloke.

Pretty damn good movie if you ask me...a tad on the hokey side but all in all worth a watch!

I saw Russell Crow at a dock once he was arguing with a fisherman cus he had scratched his yacht with his line. Russell held than man up by his neck and in one swipe the fisherman fell and was no more. Then women came out to throw rose peddles at his feet. Never going back to Santa Monica Again!

For men who preach of Jesus a poor man who gave it all to charity , they got lots of gold & silver in this room alone.
