Don Novello is presently 80 years old. My late father was especially fond of him, as was I; and I still am.

I met and hung with Don 'Father Guido Sarducci' at Westside Stories in Ft worth Texas. He was cool as h e double a hockey sticks ( the way he said he would spell hell in an autographed picture I got for The Mugs from Western Hills High School saying 'to hell with the Mugs Sincerely Father Guido) He got into character after several drinks then introduced me to Emanual Labor a Mexican immigrant fruit picker character he does. Had a great few days. He was very approachable. Treated me like we'd been life long friends. Thanks Don for making my face and stomach hurt from laughter.

That is truly awesome. Great memory!!! God bless..
@davidreynolds468427 күн бұрын
@@kareyannefoster he was so cool in and out of character. He had another character he called Emanuel Labor and migrant fruit picker. We sat for hours sipping cognac and talking. It was a rare night. I didn't have to fight anyone that was beating on my friends didn't have to pick out any one to dance with. Ahh good times

My favorite story of his is when he said he’d been to an auction of religious relics. They were selling the bill to the last supper; the bill was for 12 cups of wine, 12 loaves of bread, and a boiled egg. He said that if he had ordered the boiled egg, he’d have asked for separate checks.
