Join us in this powerful episode of "Look Me in the Eye" as we explore the deep emotional journeys of estranged loved ones trying to reconnect through the simple yet profound act of direct eye contact. Brett, who hasn't seen his father Colin in 35 years, seeks closure and a chance to introduce his children to their grandfather. Jeff and James, former best friends and bandmates, attempt to mend their fractured relationship and rekindle their bond. Sherry, a mother of two, hopes to understand and revive her friendship with Bindy, which fell apart during her struggle with postnatal depression.

I just don’t understand how you can sleep at night knowing that you have abandoned your kids and left them with a stepmother they didn’t get along with? Their mom had already walked out on them a couple of years before his abandonment. They didn’t ask to be born. Brett deserves so much more

Both Brett's parents were delinquent and irresponsible. It is amazing that Brett turned out so well because he sure did not have role models

Saw so much emotion in Brett’s dads eyes .. Brett’s too and glad they both got something out of this. Good on ya Brett for orchestrating this reconciliation. You are absolutely amazing and deserved so much more in life and I hope from now on, life gets better ❤

I don't understand how Any parent can be so selfish as to dump their kids along with the marriage. They should be adult enough to keep the kids separate from the marriage.

Agree. Poor kids. Picked lousy parents in that lottery. No excuses. Coward.

Same here. Two gorgeous kids. A boy and a girl. Now in their 30’s and two well balanced and kind individuals. The pain they went thru after years of him denying them…no I can’t forgive. They may, but I won’t. Not ever.

Brett is a better person I could ever be, to be abandoned by both parents. I could never forgive them, to put your problems onto your children is unforgivable. You hear your daughter has died and you wait for an invitation that says it all.

25:21 - That! That crossing of arms...a sign of being defensive. Interesting change in background music as well at that moment.

I can see why Bret's mother left her husband but she should have taken the children because he was not capable of being a father.

They turn up by their own choice, if they didn’t want to reconnect they don’t have to participate. Reconciliation can be powerful as well, it can lift the weight off your shoulders that you didn’t realise you were carrying. 😃
