This child was wronged throughout time - some pieces fell off the board. We don’t know the whole story yet. The school was surrounded at that​ point officers everywhere the shooter was in the 1200 building​ while his daughter in the 700 building he didnt say which classroom she was in im sure there's plenty of classrooms in that building. Just that she was ok hiding in a classroom with friends and i believe the shooter was trying to get away not watching​ Anderson on CNN. beside give him a break

Not a very good idea to give away your daughters position while the shooter is still active. Shooters have cell phones too *edit* At the time, the shooter was still active. Until swat gives the all clear you are required to stay where you are. You have no idea how many shooters are involved, if its an inside job, etc. case and point: you should text/tweet/etc. whats going on but DONT give away where you are. It only takes 1 second to check you and be “oh look someones hiding in in a bathroom/closet, better go take care of it”

A Burrito it’s not a staple of American culture and it’s a relatively new phenomenon. There have always been spree killers but it seems like today people want to make a name for themselves and realize how easy it is with social media and the 24-7 news cycle. There was a time when machine guns weren’t heavily regulated prior to 1986, much less semi-auto “assault rifles.” Mass shootings were not as prevalent. The psyche of people is changing dramatically and there are likely many factors. Even when the assault weapons ban was in place OVERALL violent crime was not as low as it was after the sunset of the ban - many reasons for that because correlation isn’t necessarily causation. Picking up a gun or a certain type of gun does not a homicidal maniac make. We have something deeply wrong in our culture. Not blaming violent movies or video games but obviously the increase in violent content available to kids in the form of games and movies has dramatically increased in the 2000s in terms of quantity and realism. I play the games and watch movies too and you can find young kids on the games cussing , like call of duty, so I don’t know if parents don’t care or don’t know or both. We have a people problem that is often downplayed to debate about hypothetically banning a popular weapon that will more than likely never be banned . It is also ineffective to talk about the banning of one style of gun when there are millions of those and millions of other guns. Should we ban any and all guns in mass shootings ? These guys use ars because they are what’s popular. They are in Hollywood movies and police and militaries use them. Should we ban anything because it’s used more than something else ? Glocks are popular guns period and criminals are caught with those all the time . Should we ban glocks ? Cumulatively general criminal activity has killed for more people. It’s a complicated situation and I hate that this happens. I sincerely hope and wish that teachers adapt a mindset and get trained to handle and carry a gun in case this happens. Even if you don’t have a gun, as hard as it is, if you gang up on the shooter he will not win.
