This song has touched my heart for most of my life. I picked up a stringed instrument for the first time this year, at 54 years old and I'm here with tears in my eyes being able to actually play this myself. Thank you!

Not to drag other tutorials, they're great and I appreciate them, but this is the first Ukulele tutorial where I actually understood the strumming and how to make it fit with the melody and when to change chords etc... so thank you so much, this is wonderful.
You have a really beautiful tone when you sing with a mixed voice.

This was uploaded quite a long time ago :) But it still brings joy to people today! Thank you soo much!! Your video is great and tremendously helpful! What a pleasure to watch! All best wishes from Germany!
I did get the two characters thing when I first heard this beautiful song. But I'd gladly exchange that for being able to play, sing and teach, all at the same time, like you! Awesome!!! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I think that I can actually do this if I practice often. My husband and I are thinking of doing this together -- playing the different parts -- with him on the guitar and me on my new ukelele. Soooo, I'll be watching this EVERY day for a month so I can do it well

Lovely interpretation Ben. I think it helps if one has the vocal ability - that you have - to be able to change pitch when singing the father then son verses. Tight trousers for the boys, maybe. One other thing - it's showing B6 instead of D6 on the lyrics you're screening below the chord shapes.

bonjour Ben,je débute le ukulélé et j'aurai aimé trouver ce tuto en français,l'as-tu fait?
@johndavis66683 жыл бұрын
Great tutorial, thank you. For the Am* part, could you just clarify how the extra chord fits in with the strumming pattern please? I think its D - - - D -*D U, putting the extra finger down for the down-up where I've put the asterisk. It sounds about right to by ears anyway.
