We are taking a break from everything! Abbie get dropped off at Camp I Am Special so she gets a break from us, from ABA therapy, from everything. Priscilla, Isaiah, and I get a break from being caregivers and from everyday life as we head out for vacation. This is the last vlog for season 2. I'm taking a couple days off. My daughter doesn't have autism but does show signs of the spectrum, but after being tested they said she isn't on the spectrum. She does have severe anxiety disorder and PTSD along with learning disabilities. We went a few months of her not sleeping. We invested in a weighted blanket and it changed our lives. She sleeps almost all night now. It really was a life saver for her. She is 16 and still learning coping skills for her anxiety, every day is a challenge. Thank you for sharing your family with us. I love your family!

Looking at this camp makes me wish I had a camp like this in my area so I could help out and be a camp counselor. I love helping young boys and girls who have autism because they are just they same as any teenager or pre teen but they need a little more guidance. If anything sometimes these boys and girls can show more love and compassion. I love watching your vlogs! (Btw I'm 16 and super jealous we don't have a camp like this where I live)

Isaiah, if you do it, I highly suggest it. Camps like that is so much fun! Also, we were able to wear Chacos sandles that have a strap closed band in case there was a kiddo who loved running and we would run with them to keep up then redirect to say arts and crafts or nature. I worked at one here in Texas called CAMP Camp for a summer and it was one of the best summers ever.

It makes me upset to see younger teens/adults like me act ignorant towards disabilities such as autism and I'm glad to see so many staff members at the camp educating themselves. It is really hard for me to get into family vlogs, i literally only watch 2, the Binghams and Gardner quad squad. The binghams sent us to you guys and i fell in love instantly. You guys are an inspiration. I’ve binge watched so many of your videos and i feel like I’ve learned so much! I have 2 friends that have autistic sons one I’ve been around since he was 2 and was there when she got his diagnoses at 5. She is a single mom doing it all on her own, although she just got back with his dad but for the last 7 years it’s been just her and i don’t know how she does it. What you guys do is not easy I’m sure, but you make it look easy. I love you guys so much already! I work for a recreation company that plans vacations and provides staff, who we call chaperones, for individuals with DD. We do a few big trips a year (Disney, Grand Canyon, London) and we do a lot of smaller trips (State parks, some big cities, local places) as well to try and accommodate everyone's interests and wallet. Some of my favorite trips are our 2 weekends of camp we do every year. We stay at a local KOA camp in really nice, accessible cabins, and plan a ton of activities to do around our pavilion. And the best part is, it's run almost entirely on volunteers! Just wish you guys lived in Ohio because Isaiah would make a great chaperone!

I'm 17 and I have a connection with anything to do with autism my cousin was non verbal and couldn't write. We were trying to adopt him but after fostering him for awhile they wouldn't let us adopt but he was very limited talking but he signed a bunch. What made this whole situation sadder was he wrote my name on the wall we didn't even see it until he left. I miss him so much I havnt seen him since he was 5
