A few years ago I went camping in the Kosciuszko national park and I ended up overhearing the family in the next campsite. It was a man taking his 3 kids camping for the weekend so their mum could have a girls weekend, he taught the kids how to setup the camp including building the fire. He got the kids to help cook the dinner and afterwards he gave the kids marshmallows to toast while he read them Banjo Patterson poems. Later in the evening to recorded a video message for his wife saying how much they miss her. It was one of the most wholesome things ever😊

We took Kalem, age three, for a month long camping trip to the Yukon in Canada. Lots of fun, lots of bears and a great experience. We had a hard time getting him to wear shoes but he learned all about setting up camps and what to do in the forest. One of the best things you can do with kids is give them an appreciate of the outdoors.

After all the focus on epic trips with wild set ups and hardcore wheeling. It’s a beautiful reminder of why we got into this pastime in the first place. The scene has been all but destroyed here in Qld. It’s practically not safe to take your kids to any of the local spots like Double Island anymore

You have to give your details to be tracked by the government every place you visit.
