Recently diagnosed about a year ago. Fatigue is showing up more often, legs feeling weak at times. No motivation and scared of taking trips that include lots of walking etc.

The fatigue I have is like a catatonic behavior sitting not moving no motivation. Exhausted without having done any activity.loss in time. Where did the time go . Staring into space not blinking with eyes open spaced out loss of time.

In nervous system terms that is a 'freeze' response, absolutely classic description. You might check out the Nurturing Our Wellbeing course by Organic Intelligence as a gentle way into this undoing. Greater investment would be to work with an Organic Intelligence coach.

The fatigue is the constant inside of body movements. There’s lots of movement that is not muscle fatigue it emotional fatigue not mental fatigue The fatigue zaps motivation from your drive to do thing. Thoughts are exhausting to sort through. The fatigue I feel makes me want to stop in time. Like being catatonic medical primary physicians no longer are experienced in treating every diagnosis they farmed to another outside referral services. The very system is so fatiguing to over stimulation about a disease we have no control of.

Does fatigue seem to correlate with a cluster of subtypes? I have the gait and balance and dysautonomia and hardly any tremor but MAJOR fatigue. I have had the fatigue years before the tremor. I have MCI as well. So maybe fatigue is more associated with the cognitive decline? I take Provigil, but it doesn’t work very long or well.

Rivastigmine did wonders for me. I was able to do things I hadn't been able to do in a long time, gave me my motivation back.

Fatigue and apathy are a big problem with PD. LEAST problem is tremor.

Contact report 578, Thursday, 9th January 2014 'Billy' Eduard Albert Meier (BEAM): Then the last question: You once said that there were natural foods that could prevent or simply slow down Parkinson's disease in a highly concentrated form. You mentioned vegetables that contain natural nicotine, which, when eaten, has an alleviating or preventing effect on Parkinson's disease. Ptaah: 65. That is correct. 66. Pure vegetables, such as tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and cauliflower, etc., which contain natural nicotine are effective against Parkinson's if eaten frequently. 67. A very effective extract can also be made from these vegetables, which can produce very beneficial effects.

I spend most of my time disassociating my reality in order to stay somewhat normal. Other peoples interpretation of how they see me can be disheartening. It’s all words that don’t mean a consistent meaning. Fatigue is just a word that people can relate to. I still say in my body there is a lot of movement going on like an earthquake vibrations tremors 24/7 has to be fatiguing.

Why is sleep disorders not listed as cause of fatigue?
As a PD patient, I view "fatigue" and "tired" as the result of physical effort. My chronic "weakness" is pervasive and unrelated to physical effort. Your use of the term fatigue is confusing.

Fatigue is OVERWHELMING tiredness. A person can have a good night sleep, wake up, & 2 hours later feel tired again, take a nap, be up for a few hours, eyes are closing, take a nap, etc. ...My dad has PD & I see his overall energy level has been drained from him. I find him falling asleep in front of the TV several times during the day. If I am with him, I will tell him to take a nap & he will go nap for an hour or two most days.......His fatigue is a PROFOUND sense of tiredness not prompted by physical activity. It's almost like someone has drained the blood out of you vs. being tired from running a race.
Good try by this doctor but I think he’s way off the mark. I sense it’s much more to do with the fact that our mitochondrial function is severely compromised. These are the generators of energy and if they can’t rid themselves of waste then they can’t generate energy. Fasting is probably the solution as well as exercise.
