I have Cape Malay Cookbooks. But when I need to know something, I come to this channel. So I can get instruction from tietie Fatima. Just to hear her voice, her giggles, see the way she does things, learn from her. RIP, Tietie. If i, who had never personally met you, miss you I don't even want to imagine how your loved ones feel. You've left a lasting legacy, following in the footsteps of your mom and her cooking skills along with your sister Gadija (I've heard you speak about your mom on another video, your koe'sister recipe which is another one of your well-loved recipes in our home). Hi Fatima. I made your roti's today. Thank you for sharing. We had spaghetti pasta, sauteed shrimp, and a white cheese sauce, tossed salad and garlic roti. I added garlic and parsley over the butter and it smelled fabulous. Mom was amazed at me "klapping" the roti. 😃 It was a lovely supper we enjoyed and finished with a glass of homemade pineapple beer. (We're in Florida in the USA and love to make our favorite foods, bringing back fond memories). It was 46 degrees here today - terribly hot. ♥️ to you there.
