I made a quilt using a partial seam years ago. It’s not hard but you do need to pay attention not to catch the underside, Glad to know there is a tutorial video for reference!

On a partial seam you can give yourself more room than 1/2 an inch. Give yourself 1 or 1 1/2 inch and have more area to turn it and line it up.
