Hi Mathew Lawrence & everyone please can someone help me I have a washing machine with faded or disappeared lettering, some letters are visible on the digital control panel, PCB i think it's called, please can someone help me so all the letters and numbers are visible again, it has ribbon connectors I think, will cleaning the connectors with alcohol etc fix my problem please, thankyou in advance. Hi I am trying to remove the plugs from the sockets at the end of the board. The ones with spade connectors. I can't work out if there is a clip or whether they just pull out. I'm worried that I will break the pcb if I pull too hard. Please can you tell me how to unplug them. thanks

If they are the same type. Then there is a little plastic clip that holds them together. You can use a small flat blade screwdriver to free the clip while pulling them out. Good luck. And of course make sure the power is off first.

Hi, thanks. I have tried inserting a small screwdriver but no luck and can't make out where the clipp actually grips the plug. On other videos they appear to just yank the plugs out.@@mathewlawrenceml
