The chocolate ganache was extra but for sure it did the cake's flavour justice. Looks neat but where do you source the gold leaf for example.
@PastryPleasures4 жыл бұрын
I get the gold leaf from Silva Store +254 725233128

Looks like buttercream is cheaper than whipping cream or what's your take... Great job!!
@PastryPleasures2 жыл бұрын
I honestly think whipping cream is cheaper compared to buttercream. The price of butter alone is costly

hi great video i'll be trying this cake for my sis birthday. but just wanted to clarify if i follow ur 6 inch cake recipe and make 4 layers of it, should i double ur vanilla butter cream recipe? or 1 batch would be enough for this design? im talking about only the out side npt the chocolate butter cream becoz i assume 1 batch of chocolate butter cream is enof for the filling..?
@PastryPleasures2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you 😊 If you’re making a different batch for the filling and outside one of each could be enough, but to be on the safe side, you can make double and store the leftover for another cake

Pls what is the thing u used for fault line called
@joycegallowayparker9652 Жыл бұрын
I would like to answer your question for you, but I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Are you referring to the frosting on the bottom of the cake (the lavender color), the spatula (frosting smoother), or the gold leaf applied to the top of the fault line (the edges of the lavender colored frosting)?
