I was about to suggest this song, but then found you'd already done it. 🙂 I love both Faun and Eluveitie, and having them together is a joy. Another top one from Faun is "Odin" featuring Einar Selvik of Wardruna. A favourite of mine from Eluveitie is "Ategnatos". They say it "el-VAY-tee", by the way. The U is silent. And Faun rhymes with Brown.

Two of my favourite bands and a very sympathetic collaboration. Eluveitie can be quite heavy on the screaming side but they mostly sing about old Celtic stories - here at the end they were singing in Welsh (Swiss band) to compliment the German sung by Faun.

Great video! Thanks for reviewing Faun with Eluveitie (two of my favorites). BTW, Eluveitie is pronounced "el-VAY-tee." Although there are bagpipes in the song, they are not that prominent. It's actually a hurdy gurdy that you're hearing. It's the instrument that the guy is holding and turning a crank/wheel. It's a stringed instrument, with keys, and the strings rub against the rotating, rosined wheel for sound (like a bow does for violin strings). The hurdy gurdy is an ancient instrument that dates from the medieval period.

The old man in the video is a very famous scientist in Germany and the US. He wrote several Books about cultures and nature .His name is Wolfgang Dieter Storl. He is a cultural anthropologist and ethnobotanist who runs biodynamic agriculture on his farm in the Allgäu and runs a KZbin channel. He has taught at several American universities as a lecturer, such as Kent State and Ohio University

Gwydion was an enchanter/wizard in Welsh mythology. The story goes that he awoke the trees the fight against forces of darkness ...or something like that. Faun are firmly rooted in European folklore/mythology and history for their source material and inspiration.
