The *downside* would be that by making that kind of a deal and becoming a *wizard* no less: you'll end up *violating* your lady *yourself*- it is an ipso-facto cause-and-effect kind of deal... plus ironically, and herein I paraphrase the very *author* of Faust to one of his most devoted fans, Marx, Karl; "You do know, my fan, that you're going around quoting the very creedo of the evil gangster spirit, don't you? Well, mind you, seeing as the devil has no physical form, nor could ever take physical form; the idea of shaking its hand is merely a symbolism: to it: the goal is that man does harm, simple as that- really nothing else matters... to enter its gang or its society: and Hell is the *most* exclusive society imaginable: you have to have a positive unrepented actual mortal sin: nothing else will cause you to forfeit heaven itself, and it must be an *actual* mortal sin, even rejecting God won't cut it for that... Faust playing around basically as a *rapist* and a vile man at that: that'd cut the mustard *quite* nicely for most men to be ruined though, and turned into absolute monsters!
