I love decorating with plants, but I also kill them all. We refer to live plants as our “newest victims.” I did have a succulent that lived for a year, but when we moved, my husband left it behind! 😂 Since then, fake plants are the way to go!

Great tips! I totally respect fake plants, but it sounds like you yourself are anxious that they might be inferior to real ones. You're totally valid, don't worry. And real plants are totally doable if you want to try them; just water them in a sink, use self watering tools during travel, put them on higher shelves away from children/pets, get varieties that grow happily in your house's climate, and you should have an easy and fulfilling time with them

this was super helpful! I'm one of those "black thumb" people lol so definitely in need of some fake plants. Do you have any tips for using large fake plants? Like in the corner of a room one that sits on the floor in a large pot?

I haven't tried decorating with a large fake plant yet. Although a couple weeks ago I did notice a corner in the living room where I want to put one 😂 The tip I would say is the most important is to make sure it looks realistic. Make sure the bottom around where the fake soil or moss is doesn't look too fake and that the leaves aren't too rubbery. Since the plant will be so much bigger, those things will stand out more.

Broken Butterfly totally worth it! I have several. I would say the same rules apply - with the addition that you can also get away with the containers that make it look like you have fake flowers in water.
