Handy tip - if you don’t have silicon (non-stick) baking paper, or a mat, you can also use the thicker resealable plastic bags. I just cut them down the two sides & open them out to get more usable surface area & it’s just as easy to get the glued napkins (or other techniques you need non-stick surface) off the thick plastic. I wouldn’t use a heat gun on them though, but a hairdryer is ok if you have it on cool or keep it well away 😊

Happy Birthday and birth month! 💜I missed saying it to you on your actual birthday Sunday due to a kitty emergency, but I was thinking about you Sunday and sending you good birthday thoughts! And yes, to add to the echo of everyone else, I think we've all had days/weeks/moments where we felt the same way you did. I'm glad you were able to come out on the other side, and are continuing to work through it. I'm in a dark place right now (had to say goodbye to my little black kitty Sunday), and struggling, but the art/junk journal community has been so kind and encouraging - and it's those little things that are small bright spots in my dark days right now. Luise, very interesting technique. I like that it picked up the pattern on the reverse side, and simply amazed how much strength it produced. Years ago, I did something similar to this but it was just diluting the medium (glue) and bushing the single-layer napkin onto a card front. Of course, the napkin was not embossed/textured. The white of the napkin became transparent and the design looked like it was printed onto the card. Thank you so much for demo-ing. I missed Sunday unfortunately, and wanted to wish you Happy Birthday. I hope you had a fabulous and special day. There just aren't enough wonderful words to express how much I enjoy your creativity and artistry, junk journaling, techniques... everything. Love hearing your chuckles and laughter, and you being yourself. You're one of the best and I say it sincerely.

A couple of things I think when I’m feeling alone are that we never really are. If you look at the grains of sand on a beach, or grains of soil, each one is touching another & then another & so on meaning that they are all truly connected & creating a whole. Just like all humans are linked in a way. In the same way, the air molecules around us, hug us all like a perfectly fitting blanket & are also seamlessly connected. So the air that embraces me is connected to the air that is embracing you. So you truly aren’t alone, or even as far away as you might feel from others who care & understand. And although we might realise that at the same time that we are thinking, feeling or experiencing something, at least someone else (& more likely many thousands or even more) is feeling, thinking & experiencing exactly the same things that we are. But what we often don’t realise is that one of those people might be right next door to you, or standing in a queue in front of you, separated from you by only metres…/hug

A few things you were looking for in English: “indescribable” was one word....the other you were saying “put under carpet” (trying to hide or ignore something) we say “sweep it under the rug”.
