This is a GREAT idea for someone who is renting! I don't think I would do this in my own home since I think real wood would look more authentic, but for someone who wants a quick decoration or who can't make any permanent changes to their place, I think it's a great idea. Thanks for sharing!

I can't wait to do this! My walls in my kitchen/ dining room are blood red gurl. No joke. Painting the main dining room wall light gray nd then with this whiteboard tape trick for the shiplap look and then the rest of the walls a gray with a blue undertone and using the tape to make "subway tiles" as the backsplash! Hi. Just found your channel. I liked and subscribed. I absolutely LOVE this idea girl! I will be doing this in my master bedroom as soon as I can get the tape! I think I will lightly sand the tape after I get it up there. Or at least check to see if this is possible. Just so there isn't any shine on the tape. I think it will look even more "authentic". Maybe I could run a little matte finish over it or even just find tape with less shine now that I really think about it. Lol. Thanks so much for this inspiration.
