Thank you. I am a fountain pen girl having collected pretty nice ones since my teens. But off I go to check out the Lamy pens and the inks! I too love the Derwent graphite’s. I like Derwent products a great deal! And I loved this video!

Irit, do you have the full name brand and color of this turquoise ink by chance? This sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Many thanks and Happy New Year!

Have had a TWSBI mini for several years and it is ALWAYS reliable..even after being left for weeks without using......whereas the Lamys are prone to drying out

Very true ,we keep moving from one supply to another. With covid by the time I get the supply I’m into using another supply. I guess I will go back to using them, especially with winter coming . More indoor time to experiment. I also love the carbon fountain pen, very reliable. Fun watching your videos. Thank you. 🙋🏼♀️🌻🇨🇦 Would love to see how you use the watercolour brush pens.

I splashed out and bought a gold nib for my Lamy fountain pen....it really is lovely and I can feel a positive difference to the silver coloured nibs. However, it was very expensive (cost more than the pen!)... thanks for sharing Irit. Take care

Hi Irit, thank you for sharing your Inktober faves - I have traditional fountain pens which I loved years ago for writing and they are now lingering in my cupboard so this is inspiring me to get them out again especially as they were quite special. I may even get a Kaweco to try out as it’s more reasonable to play with that than my expensive writing pens as I would hate to damage the nibs. Do I need to get a converter for the Kaweco? What did you think of that Diamine ink that you got recently? Thanks 😊, 🌈🎨 Valérie xx p.s. also what size nib do you use? Thx, Vxx

The ohto fude ball pen actually comes in a large pack with multiple sizes from .003mm to the 1.5mm fude ball size. They are my go to for watercolor

I can't use fountain pens but can use dip pens no problem so that makes no sense lol I dont think i've ever used the tiny end on a tombow lol

Since you are enjoying the really thin brush pens, I recommend the Akashiya Sai Thin Line brush pens. They come in five nice, muted colors, and are affordable. Not refillable, unfortunately, but a joy to draw with.

Hahahaha.... I heard that! The "Tank" has fabulous line variation. That's why I love it. Also filling in big spaces. But I agree about the Carbon Black ink - my favorite. OOXXOO Linda PS Love that turquoise ink, oh and I just tried the WN Watercolor markers. That's going to cost me $$$. : )

If you're new to fountain pens, you can't go wrong with a Jinhao Shark. It's really inexpensive, I got mine for about $2, and it's fun to use. It is meant as a beginner's pen so it is durable and comfortable to hold. Actually, Jinhao has a variety of good inexpensive pens.

Thanks for the recommendation! I will check it out. I'm not new to fountain pens, but always happy to find a cheap starter :)

Yay, a fun video. I love fountain pens for sketching and combining with watercolour, but I usually use water soluble ink as I love the wild abandon! However, that carbon one looks tempting... Have you done inktober before? 😊
@BrendaArtist4 жыл бұрын
with inks it's even harder to find some without animal ingredients. I find 2 available in my area, one is from daler rowney artists inks and the other is from winsor and newton calligraphy inks and I got the last one but.. then I got totally too late to start with a inktober equivalent (as the original prompt wasn't triggering me). so by now I am not even sure if it's worth starting with it and if I have time for it 🙈 ow well.. life flows as how it flows. how are you (all) doing? 😊
@iritlandgraf4 жыл бұрын
Haha I think you shouldn't think about too late or any of that. If you want to join any challenge just go for it at your own pace. For me it never works, with the one exception of this summer and my daily sketching. I suspect that worked only because it was exactly tailored to what I love to sketch 😀

@@iritlandgraf yeah, will see if I can squeeze something matching in my schedule.. it's hard to even find prompts that trigger my creativity 🙈 doubt between 2 different ones .. I have already challenges before even starting the challenge 🙃😂

I recently purchased a Stillman & Birn sketchbook from Jackson’s Art Supplies as it was listed as vegan, are you able to give me any information on why they aren’t vegan? I’d be interested to know as I also like to buy cruelty free and vegan products where I possibly can!
@iritlandgraf4 жыл бұрын
Maybe they changed something but as far as I remember they use animal derived glue. I'd be happy to learn they have changed it!
