Favorite Christie: Ten Little Indians, though I haven't read your favorite. Favorite Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles. Both of these are top-notch. The Lord bless you in 2019.

Haha I love the "uh uh!" voice you did! Ooh I've been wanting to read some G.K. Chesterton! Some of his nonfiction looks really good as well. I haven't read many classic mysteries but I have definitely loved My Cousin Rachel! I guess that's more of a psychological thriller though.

I found out this past year that I love classic mysteries, so I’m adding all of these to my TBR! So excited! Plus I didn’t realize The 39 Steps started as a book. I designed costumes for that play at my community theater last year. I looked it up just now and the comedy play is based off this book. I look forward to reading the source material.

That's great! I'm glad you found some new reading material. The Richard Hannay series that starts with 39 Steps has 5 books and a few short stories, but I've only read the first two books so far. Such great books, full of action and suspense! happy REading!

Thank you, for the review! I enjoy creating bookmarks and magnets. I have not read many mysteries, other than those written by Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes. However, because of your review, I'll be reading the Father Brown mysteries. I absolutely adore Father Brown, as depicted in the Netflix episodes, which means I'm going to fall in love with the actual books, by G. K. Chesterton. We will see! And, upon second thought, I have read all of the mystery books by Nora DeLoach(deceased). They are rather light and pleasant--not for the serious mystery-murder lovers.

Great list - I havent read The 39 Steps and didn't know it was part of a series. Dorothy L Sayers books are really good and I would add Ngaio Marsh to that list as well

The Tom/Huck sequels by Mark Twain are both interesting. Besides Tom Sawyer Detective there is also Tom Sawyer Abroad, which is a lot like Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days since it has a balloon trip. Often the two stories are printed together in one volume (like the paperback I own). Both are well worth reading if you like Mark Twain.
