Something that foreigners never seem to grasp is that USA is a country of immigrants that slowly integrate and give to the broader American culture. We aren't just stealing other cultures foods and saying its ours, they are being brought over from ppl who immigrate to the US. Who then adapt it to Americans into a new dish, Mexican food in the US isn't traditional Americanized Mexican food. Same goes for any other dish from other cultrues

Taylor Ham (Pork Roll sandwich for New Jersey) has a slightly sour flavor to it (intentionally!) This makes the Pork Roll flavor unique from other pork roll products elsewhere. You really can only get a proper New Jersey Taylor Ham sandwich from Taylor farms and processing plants in New Jersey. It's kind of funny because after living in Manhattan for three years I finally this week picked up a package of Taylor Ham to make with my breakfast. LOL. My mom was from New Jersey and I haven't had it in years. Figured, I can buy it easily here because Jersey is right across the Hudson, so... I'll let you know how it turns out.

Queso is literally just spanish for cheese
@courtneyraymer65868 ай бұрын
Thank you! I was yelling that very thing at my screen when she was butchering the pronunciation.It sounded as though she said “kooEEso” Many Spanish words where the “e” is the accented syllable, it has the sound of “A” as in “hay”. So , it sounds like KAYso. Another Brit reaction channel claims to adore “jalapeños”, but pronounces it “halaPEEno” the “h” sound is right for the “j”, but the accented syllable is pronounced “pain”. whenever that squiggly line appears over an “n”, it sounds like “ny” as in the Russian “nyet” (no). So, the chili pepper is pronounced “halaPAINyo. I’m sure you know all of this since you know that “queso” is cheese. Do you like chile con queso ? I think it’s the best dip ever for tortilla chips. I hope you don’t think I’m patronizing or talking down to you, I’m just hoping our reacting “blokes” get the message. Sorry if I used you as a sounding board. Please forgive my venting rant.

Aidan, you've mentioned frequently (haha) that you only like glazed donuts. I challenge you when you're in the states to try a cake donut. In the US we have yeast raised donuts like glazed donuts and Krispy Kreme donuts warm are the best of these!! without a doubt, but cake donuts are a whole nother thang. They are just what they sound like: a donut with the texture of cake. They are moist, can be just about any flavor and when you're in November, the pumpkin, apple cinnamon, apple cider or any number of other fall influenced flavors are wonderful. And not at all dry. In fact, they are so moist that they actually get moister as they sit a half day or so, rather like a good, moist cake.

West Virginia may have invented pepperoni rolls, but western Pennsylvania LOVES them. Every kid’s sports team sells the for fundraisers, my high school sold them daily in the cafeteria, every pizza shop has their version of them. And don’t forget to dip them in tomato sauce or - my personal favorite - ranch dressing. We also have a version that has spinach instead of pepperoni, with or without crumbled Italian sausage. Nope, you’re both wrong. Take a handful of SuperB complex with C vitamins. They replace the vitamins in your liver that the booze has destroyed. The name brands are AH Robbin’s Albee with C and StressTabs. The generics are much cheaper and are usually exactly the same.They’re also great for warding off colds or flu (stomach & respiratory).You can’t overdose, because they’re water soluble and the body excretes what it doesn’t need. That’s not true for vitamins A & D, however. They’re fat soluble and stored. Too many of those at one time might put you in the hospital needing a stomach pump. So, take the B&C and THEN go for the pork roll,Taylor Ham or whatever else strikes your fancy! If alcoholics did this,they’d probably never get cirrhosis of the liver. Of course, there are plenty of other things they could get,but hangovers and cirrhosis aren’t among them.

The funny thing is I have seen a few of their vids about the same topic and I keep thinking "They have to find something different for this state for this vid." Also I think the sliced-thin meats only "look" big because when they are put on a roll, they are folded and not laid down flat. The only way to do it IMO.
