I just had my first stop motion commercial shoot and would have loved to have this software before the shoot. I am so getting it now. It definitely has some amazing features that will help me improve those results.

Amazing!! thank you for the super helpful tips!!! just started using it last week, there is so much to discover and learn!! my fav features is the interval shooting, so i can focus on the animation and don't have to press the shutter at all.

I love using Dragonframe! The program is so incredibly powerful and full of resources. Animating to sound great too.

LOVE your channel. You're talented and charming! However, probably you know this, but you can change the speed of any imported clip in Premiere - so you could shoot just a single frame per object move, and then in Premiere, in "Interpret Footage" set the fps to 12fps (or any fps you like). This will then play back in relation to the fps of your timeline, which you can also set to any FPS. For example a clip set to 12fps would double each frame on a timeline set to 24fps. That same clip set to 48fps would skip every other frame on a 24fps timeline.

it looks like you are using the bigger screen in duplicate mode. Have you tried setting desktop to extend then in dragonframe set your second screen in the monitor menu?

Thank you for this video Joanie. I asked you about it yesterday on Instagram!!! You read my mind!!! Just to double check. Do you shot at 24 fps, but shooting at 12 fps in twos? I've been testing the software shooting with flash (I don't have continuous light) but I'm having a problem and is that I can't see the "real" image (the one I shot with flash) in the animation window. The only thing I see is the shot as taken with ambient light. Do you know by any chance why is this happening? Do I need to change something on the settings? I've been looking for answers on internet but haven't found anything. Btw, I'm looking forward for the workshop!

One tip for the new screen, it would be better if you rotate the screen and make it vertically. This way you'll see even bigger pictues, especially those where you shoot them for Instagram.

Joanie... fantastic tutorial as usual... and beautiful as usual... do you mind sharing the LUT you use for your videos in premier? Do you use the Nikon camera to shoot these videos?

Great video. A newbie question. Do you capture your images using the modeling lights or actually strobe it? Asking for a friend...

Love all your videos always so helpful. Can I ask in dragon frame where do you focus - do you use a high f stop and keep the focus in the center? Or keep moving the focus on an item moving? Trying to figure out how to photograph each frame but can’t seem to find an answer to my question

I had the Bluetooth one for my laptop but now that I’m shooting to my PC it doesn’t have Bluetooth so I’m just using my wireless keyboard and using that keypad. Their controller is nifty, but keyboard works, too. Probably depends on your setup and space.

I just purchased my key last week and received my keypad yesterday. It only took me an hour on my own to produce 16 seconds of Lego animation. But I have to admit that I got a little sad when I read dslr cameras have a life span of about 5 years or so from constant stop motion shooting. Maybe I should have purchased insurance coverage for my camera? 😕
