I am always looking for good quality, educational shows / channels to use as supplements to our homeschool curriculum. Over the past three years, we have found some that we absolutely love! These work well for ages 2 - 7+! In Part 1 of this two part series, I am sharing our favorite educational kid videos on KZbin and Amazon Prime. These also work really well with the Torchlight curriculum throughout several levels. We've used Homeschool Pop for an easy extension when we're covering a certain topic. The "Cincinnati Zoo" one sounds like a channel my son would love, because he really loves anything with real animals.

I was so impressed with how the Cincinnati Zoo really stepped up and added educational videos and learning opportunities. My girls know the animals there by name now and really feel connected to them (as well as learning so much)!

Yes! I am so picky about what they watch! So many shows end up having (what I feel) is negative dialogue and messaging so I try to be really careful about what they watch.

My daughter likes, Operation Ouch on you tube. Sometimes it’s a little gross but so informative and entertaining.

We went to the Cincinnati Zoo when my son was younger. Thanks for recommending! I've considered Hoffman. Ultimately, my son does well with a teacher in front of him to motivate him and give us accountability.

Thanks! This gave me a lot of ideas of things to look at. We watch Scishow Kids and Cosmic Kids Yoga too. My daughter watched Creative Galaxy for a little while, but then she stopped wanting to watch it. I thought it was a good show, and she got really into making crafts while she watched it. I would definitely be interested in what family shows you watch.
