I love the goldenrod too. Do many people get squeemish thinking they are allergic? Pretty sure that is not the case though...

Very few people are bothered by it. It blooms at the same time as ragweed so it gets confused as an allergen.

I am semi retired and just want a little hobby business with bouquets. What is in your very favorite bouquet? I am also wondering what pricepoint to start at for my local farmers market if you have any advice! Thank.you again!

It’s hard to have a favorite! Each season has one. Ranunculus and lady’s mantle for spring. Sunflowers and agrostemma in the summer. Pricing your bouquets is a hard one because it depends on your market and region. If your getting more serious with your growing, we would recommend joining the ASCFG. We price stems individually and work to bouquets at several price points.

We keep it really simple. Fresh water in a clean bucket. They’re transferred into another clean bucket with a floral bleach tablet before heading to market.

Yes, we plant into mid July for fall blooms

Do you save any of your own seeds or do you buy new every year?

We only save some of our celosia seed. Otherwise we purchase new seed every year. Most if these varieties are hybrids and wouldn't grow true to form from its seed.
