Favorite Windows console emulator and package manager

do all linux commands run on cmder or do i need to do something extra to get all the linux commands to work? I notice i cannot get anything if i run e.g ifconfig

how do i resolve scenario like ./filename '.' not recognized as an internal or external command but if i use sh filename bash script runs in cmder - your comments would be appreciated - i am new to this cmder console.
