Happy New Year, Gemma, and thank you for your entertaining videos. I've recently fallen in love with La Roche Posay's Hyalu B5 serum (the best hydrating serum I've ever used especially now my skin is 81!) and their Hyalu B5 Aquagel, an amazing moisturiser-SPF 30. And so reasonably priced.

I was sensitive to the l-ascorbic acid serums from The Ordinary, but found I'm not sensitive to Timeless 20% nor to Maelove Glow Maker. No sensitivity and I use tretinoin every night. However, I do get peeling from the products, so I have to target their placement and use lots of moisturizer.

Try elf's make up melting balm it makes very short work of waterproof mascara without having to rub and your eyes it's amazing stuff fragrance free and not oily either it's a beautiful cleansing balm it's gets my waterproof mascara off easier than my purito from green cleansing oil and half the price

I'm really keen to try the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser because it has ceramides and peptides in it which are the two things I look for but rarely find in one product

I also love the UV Supreme Screen but it's so expensive that I still rely on the LRP invisible fluid most days. My favourite mineral sunscreen is Bliss block star (although it is spf30 so I save it for cooler days).

Great video. Skinceuticals sets the standard for vitamin C serums (in the US) and they make one that I just started using with salacylic acid that I love. We use Curology here in the US like you use dermatica. I think they are quite similar. Paula’s Choice makes a 10% azelaic acid cream that I am fond of. Seems like Beauty Pie is rocking it! I like many of their products. Wish we could get the FDA here to approve more sunscreens. Yay Dr. Sam…love her stuff. Thank you Gemma and happy New Year to you and your family.

I have recently started using the SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum myself and as much I was want to say it’s no better than some less pricey ones…..I cannot!! Love your content Gemma, thank you so much. I use the Garden of Wisdom Vitamin C Serum 23% + Ferulic Acid (at Victoria Health), and find this very gentle and gives my skin a lovely glow. On my dry sensitive skin around my eyes I’ve started using the Avene Hydrance Aqua-Gel, and find it very lightweight and hydrating. My skin seems to take a real downturn in the winter, so it’s great to find something to keep it hydrated.

Thanks, great reviews! My dermatica tretinoin comes with a 15% Azelaic and 4% niacinamide added in. So you can have higher azelaic incorporated into your tretnioin if you ask for it. More convenient I find. Once a day application at night 👍 xx

I'll be getting the azelaic acid for my daughter - if it's beneficial for hormonal acne. I have a few samples of Dr Sam's products but, because nobody talked about the brand, I haven't bothered with them. The moisturiser sounds perfect for me. I love the sound of the two sunscreens you mentioned, I'll have to get some as soon as I've depleted the ones I already have . Skincare vids are, quite possibly, my favourite. Really interested in the azelaic acid ..my Tretinoin has 4% azelaic acid already in it and I use it at night but I wanted to add some more because I think my skin really benefits from it ..can you please tell us in what order you added the azelaic acid to your morning routine? After contacting Dermatica I learned that the azelaic acid 20% is not available to be shipped to the US because of restrictions 😕.. So disappointing… They will, however, add azelaic acid to a prescription subscription.

I recently purchased the vitamin c by SkinCeuticals. Can you please demonstrate how you apply yours. Because it’s so expensive I want to apply it directly on my face but all the demos I’ve watched they put 4-5 drops on their hands first then apply to the face. I don’t want my hands to absorb product I would rather apply drops to my face then rub and dab. Suggestions and a demo from you would be helpful.

Pamela- I have very dry skin and I use sunscreen everyday. My two holy grails are the Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel and Biore Aquarich Watery Gel. Both SPF 50 and neither ever pill up under makeup. Both are on Amazon
