Their singer Chris Cornell was so good unfortunately he battled his demons (depression and addiction) and ended up taking his own life in 2017

The singer Chris Cornell wrote the song. It’s easy to think he’s talking about waiting for her but it’s really about him waiting to die and he’ll wait for that day like a stone. Alone he’s reading a book of death and it states that if you were good you can go to heaven

Like A Stone is about death and finding the afterlife through other means rather than the traditional ways. Chris Cornell was also the lead singer for the grunge band Soundgarden who's song Black Hole Sun was amazing and probably the best from them. Sadly he took his own life after battling depression etc. His voice along with Layne Stayley, Eddie Vedder are irreplaceable

@@favouriteislandgirl lol you learn something new eh. Eddie Vedder is the only one of a legacy that is alive right now and his band Pearl Jam is still touring and making hits. Another lost voice to drugs and depression is Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots
