Queen, there are a lot of universes in league of legends, like marvel and DC. In the canon universe (runeterra), evelynn is a "succubus", who hunts and kill people after seduce them. Ahri is a magic fox/human. Kai'Sa is a girl who lived in the void (almost a hell or negative dimension) and now she's fighting against void to avoid them to invade runeterra. And Akali is a ninja. What i told is their canon story, KDA is a alternative universe! In this universe they received a new story, but riot games keeps some similarities with their canon persona, like evelynn being a bitch and mean. But in this universe evelynn isn't a real demon. KDA actually are a part of a musical universe from league of legends, True Damage (Giants group), Pop/Star Ahri (her before KDA), Pentakill Band (a metal group) and DJ Sona are part of this musical dimension. Riot creates those universes to sell skins. When they release a new video clip, they also release skins (basically we pay for change the characters look inside the game).

So League of Legends has three music groups: Pentakill (their first venture and a metal group with two complete released albums), K/DA, and True Damage. All three do exist in the same universe. We know this because Akali, following the success of POP/STARS founded True Damage and released the single GIANTS. Evelynn, as explained in this video is a fan of Karthus, the lead singer of Pentakill. K/DA’s Twitter feed posts pictures of the group and Pentakill has come up twice, once on Akali’s jacket and again on a Magazine cover that Evelynn was the cover photo for. So Akali and Evelynn are Pentakill fans. It was basically Evelynn Week last week in preparation for VILLAIN. This week is Kai’sa Week since Friday the video for Drum Go Dum will release. So if you want a better idea of who Kai’sa is, probably check out the Twitter page here and there. Next week should be all about Ahri.

League of legends has multiple universe with different stories. An exaple: Evelynn in the “real universe” of league of legends is a demons, but in the “k/da universe” is just a human celebrity. They do this cause every champion or skin has a storyline.

Ok, here's a simplified breakdown for you. League of Legends is a multiplayer online game. You join 5v5 matches in which you choose a character to play. Each character is different with personalities and abilities to match. You can spend real money to buy skins for these characters which make them look different while you play them. Riot (who made the game), began creating skin sets that include just a few characters (anywhere between 4-6) that have a theme begining with Pentakill. Pentakill was a 'metal band' so the skins made the characters look like they were in a metal band. They followed this with K/DA. It makes the characters that have the skins look like they were in a KPoP group. The characters that have these skins are Ahri (a nine-tailed fox who charms people), Evelynn (a succubus demon that charms and assasinates), Kai'sa (a girl who was changed by 'the void' and is super fast and agile) and finally Akali (a straight up ninja). In order to promote these skins, they created a fictional universe, giving them stories and personalities and topped it all off by writing a song. In order to record the song, they brought in artists to be the voices of these characters. In this fictional universe, they 'discovered' Seraphine (a brand new character to the game) and featured her on More. Seraphine has an IG and Twitter and even covered Pop/Stars. True Damage is the same thing, but the story is that Akali, while K/DA were 'on a break' decided to create a hiphop group to showcase new talent. In this case, you got skins for the characters Ekko (boy that raps and can rewind time), Qiyana (a girl that throws this spinning disc thing), Sienna (the brand new champion at the time that wields a giant gun), Yasuo (the producer with the samurai sword) and a whole new skin for Akali. Essentially, K/DA, Pentakill and True Damage are massive promotional stunts to get you to play League of Legends and buy the skins. I hope this clarifies everything.

Hey there! Since I heard you loved Kai'Sa so much and you wanted to feel a little more "her" you should check out "Drums Go Dum" theres no animation unfortunately, but the song suits her massively. EDIT: Also you picked an amazing guy to understand Lore. Since Necrit really gets into it properly and makes it easy to understand... As much as it could be. I think the main issue for your confusion is the concept of "skin lines (odyssey, pentakill, etc)" and "groups (K/da, True Damage, etc)" Riot introduces character skins in sets (skin lines) the most recent being the second set of k/da skins for their "More" music video and subsequent EP. When Necrit mentions "Odyssey kayn," he means the version of Kayn (a playable character) from the Odyssey skin line's universe, which is outside the greater League of Legends world (Runeterra)

Hey hopes this helps ya out a little The moves you see in the video are sort of what they have in game.... The scene with Akali in the train - Its Just Akali and Evelynn..... Akali using spray paint is a play on her smoke ability.... And Evelynn shadowy figure when things are dark is from her passive ability in game to go invisible. The scene in the tunnel when Evelynn is driving - Evelynn is driving and its Kaisa who gliphs inside the car ( lol she doesnt get run over ) The effect where a play on Kaisa in game ability to moves fast and blink I know its alot but once ya understand the characters in game, you can understand another layer as to why these videos and group are so awesome... Lots of the original lore from LoL (league of legends) are integrated into KDA but it isn’t who they are entirely, it just explains most of how they are personality and ability wise. I’ll try explain most of what I can here so you can learn so more! Evelynn facts (bc she my bias in this group 😔👌): •She was originally born from pain because of being created during a war. Originally coming from the form of a single shadow, she craved pain from others which was mostly her inflicting it. The war slowed down so ppl started getting happier and less murder driven, which made Eve hungry since the pain and anger was what feeds her. She became a lust demon after finding out humans love to be sexual, and especially men being sexual with women. This carries on with her as a celebrity in KDA because she has had scandals before where the men she was dating “disappeared” with her leaving them right after and having no comment about it. •In the Popstars music video, Eve is mostly in shadow and is in cars most of the time. This is because in the game, Eve can turn back into a more shadowy form of herself. The car thing is her just being a boujie queen 💰 •Eve’s little lashes that come from her back and her finger gauntlets are actual parts of her body when it comes to her OG form in the game. •The concept video for Eve’s song Villain explains her abilities and who she is as a person through visuals.

Ahri facts: •Ahri’s lore is (anyone please correct me if I’m wrong, I’m doing this from memory) that she is the nine tailed fox from korean mythos and she has charmed so many with her natural beauty but one day after falling in love with a guy she accidentally killed him and is absolutely devasted after doing so. This carries on in KDA bc of Ahri’s in game charm ability which comes in the form of a heart, and knowing she is based from korea with her lore and her singer being from (G)-Idle, she does the little heart with her fingers a lot to emmulate that. Also the obvious thing that carries from her lore is her ears and tail, with her always being the beautiful nine tailed fox.

Kai’Sa facts (pls if I’m wrong about any of these facts, you may correct me.) •Kai’Sa was a village girl but was suddenly sucked into the void by some sort of monster who was from the void. It sucked in and killed Kai’Sa’s family but despite being just a poor village girl, she killed the monster herself. After killing it, she had to get out of the void so a part of the void monster actually became one with her body, giving her a different look and making her abilities more enhanced. •The things floating on her back are what I assume also come from the void, which is why she is the dancer. It makes her more float and move faster, which you see in both Popstars and More. •In popstars, Kai’Sa is infront of Eve’s car and almost gets run over but is able to get out of the way so gracefully thanks to her ability ✨ •In more, you see more (pun not intended) of her void abilities because of where she shows up. Everything is floating around her as if it is in space, and she too floats in it. And they hint at her backstory with the line “I got different DNA” because it is literal. She is part of the void.

Kai'Sa is a rat? I'm a rat, too! She's my fave, especially in MORE and DRUM GO DUM, because I feel like she's the most similar to me. She's rarely in the spotlight because she only sings very few lines. But she's a passionate, creative mind that expresses in a different, less prominent way (dance instead of lyrics). If you want to know more, the game itself is pretty involving with the lore, but I suggest you shouldn't play it because it really is toxic time to time, the players at least. You could also look up on their website which has plenty of more lore for you to learn about or you can be like me and just watch the guy you're watching in this video, Necrit. He covers basically almost everything on league from the news to the lore and it really helps me understand more from the League of Legends universe.
