I mean i don’t think people with richer lives understand the struggle. Im not justifying theft at all I am just stating that owning a store and being a worker at the store are 2 vastly different positions in life. People in need get desperate and do stupid things. It’s not right what we do, but it’s like the old saying goes, a drowning man will still drag you under too. It’s messed up but he is drowning. I was a thief in the early 2000s and stopped stealing. I recently had some medical stuff go on that could potentially kill me and it was rough when I was pondering what bank I should rob VS me having extreme pain and potential death and not being able to afford medical. It’s never right to steal but my point is in desperate times we as humans can do evil things, it doesn’t make us bad or evil it was just what we thought of as a last resort. Hope that makes sense, sorry for the theft and you are also right in your actions I’m just trying to give you some clarity on how some people may do what they do,

As you said in this video many times, you guys had been helping him out, and would have, if he had just asked. Because the amount of money he took wasn't worth the job. Especially with Employers that are so cool and nice people. His actions were 100% intentional. 100% pre-meditated. Refunding purchases so his cash drawer wouldn't come up short after his shift, and playing you all like fools. He's just dumb, and even when caught, he could never just be completely honest with you, and tried to lessen the situation with words like "Not intentionally", "Accidentally". At that point, you're busted, there's proof, why continue the lie? It's funny how when he was taking off the keys, he was going so slowly, as if he were taking a trip down memory lane of this job. When you have more than you need you don’t build a higher fence, you build a longer table. Increasing the incarcerated population serves no larger purpose and does not create a better society and it is not the solution for everything. I believe your method(“everything other than prosecution is a waste of time”) is far more bound for failure and we have plenty of statistics to prove that it’s failing. @ToggsMonger18 күн бұрын
Don’t be deceived - this owner is most definitely going to press charges. He masterfully starts by questioning/interrogating the thief in order to get him to state that yes, he was indeed stealing. Then he tells the criminal mastermind that he has no ill feelings toward him, but obviously he’s fired, and then adds - you’ll be hearing from us. What he is saying is that he now has a video confession in addition to the theft footage, and will be turning all of it over to law enforcement. Bravisimos!
