We all love our own country and, dislike it equally as much at times, but when someone stirs your emotions through speech and imagery it's hard not to be taken by it. Well done Martin. Tell my Polish mum who has lived here for 40 years, learnt Welsh, gave birth to two Welsh kids, supports Welsh independence, supports Wales over Poland in any sport and votes for Plaid that she isn't Welsh.

I may or may not have obsessively listened to the song "Yma O Hyd" for the past few days because I was so incredibly inspired by this man here.... Me Nan always loved Wales, ever since she taught there in, '54 I think it were. In fact, my grandparents were married in Llanwnda in '56. Made the local news since they were probably the only non-Welsh couple to have been married there in twenty years or so...

I'm English through and through but have long since given up on the England side - so much talent being wasted. And no passion. I grew up with the legend of John Charles from my father and with Sprake, Yorath, Flynn, Speed etc Sheen's speech. As rousing as Elizabeth I at Tilbury, Henry V at Agincourt, and John of Gaunt, and matching Shakespeare's eloquence, and delivered with such passion and feeling. I know who i want to watch at Qatar
