We spent 11 years with our deer herd and they were some of the best friends we ever had.

I live on 11 arces and have white tail raised in the yard, I used to be a hunter, but can't do that anymore after the birth of our daughter 30 years ago. Thank you forever changing my life, Justin Kelly. The love of my life... Dad

I love these videos. I become more and more interested in the human/animal bond, especially after having recently lost my extraordinary cat of 14 years. "Ascua" was an unusually intelligent Bombay, black with large gold eyes.

I'm sorry you lost 'Ascua'. I recently lost 'Simon' - a stray who wandered into our back garden, saw our other cats playing and adopted us. He was not a pretty cat! This made him more loveable. His death was awful, because he'd been an orphan and so in need of love, and also cos it was a horrible shock. He declined so quickly. It's a bereavement just like any other.

I love the deer.....I just want to be able to touch one before I die! They are all around my house and on the farm/woods. They will stop and listen to me when I talk to them but have not come up to me....yet.
