This is probably my my first comment on KZbin. At the very least my first one as an adult. I just wanted to say I love your story and videos. It has motivated me to do better in my life. I went from being clinically depressed. Doing nothing all day, suffering with addictions. To being back in uni in an accelerated course of study. Looking to finish my degree by may. Not only that, but I’ve started working out daily. Eating better, taking care of both my mental and physical health and SO MUCH MORE. I can’t give you all of the credit, but you definitely had a huge influence on my life. I enjoy reading and writing poetry again ahhh. Sorry for the rant, thanks for your content.

Your too hard on yourself Faye. Those who watch your channel love your honesty, transparency, your character and the way that you show a very real side life. You have a professional hat you wear for work and a beautiful, intelligent, creative, fun, neuro diverse hat you wear outside of work. Never be afraid of being yourself x

Girl, I am a few months into being a brand, new baby, female lawyer, and I was thinking of myself I don’t feel capable of anything. I don’t feel capable as a lawyer, I turn off my light. And I put on KZbin and your video just popped up. Why are you always in sync with my life I love you.❤❤❤ I don’t know what jewels you’re about to drop, but I know they’re gonna be so helpful

As a medical student very much agree with your reflections on medicine (and PMS). and I think being yourself is most important. Public perceptions of being a doctor have to change. Doctors are humans and don't need to put on a serious persona to become one (or shouldn't have to). Thanks for your vlogs its nice to watch someone doing what I will be doing soon and succeeding at it x

Knowing my doctor is a person who has the same struggles as me, or understands how my brain works etc is so beneficial - I connect much better with people like me and to know there are medics who I am able to connect with is absolutely invaluable

The little chat segment in the middle of the vlog felt like I was watching myself. I know the premenstrual self-doubt, the existentialism and the overthinking all too well 😅 Thank you for sharing this side of your life online, I think it helps others realise that although you might be a doctor, a scientist, a lawyer, you don’t change fundamentally as a person. You can be emotional, you can be creative, you can be silly, and it doesn’t take away from your ability to be a serious professional. Not saying being creative can’t be professional, but in STEM in particular being creative isn’t valued and it feels like you can’t be both, you’re either scientific or artistic. So nice to see someone do both! ❤

This was definitely my favourite of all your vlogs and I just felt the need to comment and say that I am so glad you are sharing the realities of your life as a woman and a doctor in such an open and authentic way. It reassures me that there are self-reflective, thoughtful, deeply compassionate doctors like you in our healthcare profession and I believe that the “human” side of the NHS is one that needs to be shown more - it doesn’t make you egotistical or unprofessional in the slightest to share that with us! It only helps improve the relationship of doctors/patients and gives me great confidence, so thank you very much.

Can I just say as a nurse from New Zealand, I’ve dealt with death for the past 3 years as a nurse and you have to remove your emotion when someone is super unwell and sick otherwise you wouldn’t be able to do your job effectively. Also there is such a difference between sudden and prepared death. Your feels are super normal, but imagine if every healthcare professional was serious and sad, how much more shit would being in hospital be! You need to keep being yourself because you’re touching more lives positively than you realise ❤

I love how you show what most of us experience on that dreaded time of the month and it's comforting knowing you're not alone. I get the exact same thoughts then next day can feel back to normal. I also just want to let you know how lovely your new hair is, you really suit it. I know you think you look "boring" but my thoughts on the last few videos is how nice and confident you look without your makeup ( and with of course) which has helped me try to wear less. You're doing these things without realising you're actually helping others. Please keep being you. Love your videos!

As an RN who works ICU/Tele, I absolutely love working under our female internists. I've noticed such a massive difference in the quality of care and communication. I am so thankful that women are doctors, because it's saved many lives in my little corner of the world.😊

Hey! I'm a young veterinarian and what you said about dealing with death and difficult emotions absolutely made sense. It's not exactly the same but I also have to deal with the emotions that come up when losing patients and performing euthanasias on top of that. There were many times when I cried on my way home from work, but after a year in vet med it doesn't really happen anymore. I allow myself to feel all the difficult emotions, but it's important to not let them consume your whole life. You're a whole human being not just a doctor! It's a fine balance and I'm still working on it.😊

All my family memers are like that and i need to always repeat to myself that darker blond and healthy hair will look nicer than bleached blond hair thats damaged. Plus I HATE the feeling of damaged hair. Good job on sticking to it!! Hair looks fab and soft and bouncyyy

As someone who's been very sick for most of my life (24F), I much much prefer doctors who aren't masking their personalities to be "professional". Even the doctors who are a bit grumpy or depressed- you can still tell. Having a doctor that masks makes ME feel exhausted for them.

Can you peeeaaase stop saying that youre egotistic. Of course your channel is about you and of course your talk about your emotions. But by doing so you are helping so many people!! I am a medical student and i love love love your content so much!! Not for the beautiful montages, or the tips and tricks but for those real moments!! Thank you so much for sharing and please keep it up! I think you are underestimating the positive impact youre having on the mental health of a lot of medical girlies (or boys of course), that are struggling with the same thoughts and feelings. Thanks girl!!

"wht happened u used to be fit , u used to have it together , u used to not look like trash all the time " lit wht i say to myslef after looking at my OWN damn pics from year \2 yrs ago . i feel like idc how i look anymore... its both good and bad at the same time : good as it releases the burden of caring and it saves time and effort of getting dolled up evrymorning and bad as it shows that we can't put our best foot forward . i think the key is finding balance , in fear of not getting obssessed of how we look and yeah open the insecuritie's book back AGAIN .

I think sometimes people like to feed off putting people down when they are insecure so the best way to respond it too let them watch while you just carry on being exactly who you are - capable nuanced and emotionally intelligent. No one wants an unemotional doctor, we need someone to care about the patients enough to be diligent in looking for proper diagnoses, treatments etc. We all know what medical misogyny leads

I’m so exhausted by the narrative that women are incapable because they have normal human emotions. You know who else has those normal, human emotions? Men. But for some reason society has decided men can only feel one emotion (anger) (and it’s ok to feel anger, because it’s a very Manly Emotion) and women can feel everything else, BUT it’s BAD that they feel everything else. Emotions don’t make us weak, they make us human.
