@@elliotstevenson9217i worked in local bike shops for a few years, i strongly recommend against a bigger seat for any type of riding where you’re pedaling hard. You’ll be significantly more comfortable with a smaller and firmer seat and padded cycling shorts. The big cushioned seats are comfortable for leisurely riding, but the rubbing and friction will cause a whole lot more discomfort than a the soreness from a hard seat on your sit bones.

@@Chalepastel I think you're supposed to alternate between standing on the pedals and sitting while biking to balance out the pain but that is quite exhausting for just recreational/casual biking. There are actually very comfortable cushioned seats for any bike but you almost always have to buy and install them separately, most bikes just have those standard super thin mountain bike seats as stock.
