I suspect the cats deliberately appeared in the collapsed department to guide the agents to safety, either in advance of the collapse as they did for Naotaka, or after to lead them out of the Foundation. Its appearance in Director Trench's office may have had the same purpose, Trench was clearly a man in danger who needed guidance. Sadly, his obsession with control kept him from receiving the message.

I have to agree. The story about the mankei-neko’s origins does indicate that perhaps the statues sense some sort of great calamity was about to happen and attempted to alert as many people to leave as the spirits inhabiting them could do without alerting the FBC and the board. And regarding the fickleness of cats, that’s not 100% true. There are many breeds of cats that are very loving and prone to giving affection. It really depends on the individual cat. And this would tie in with my theory that the statues, the abnormalities, have developed a fondness for the employees and didn’t want to see anyone get hurt. Animals are actually capable of empathy as a lot of pet owners would report. The big questions are what calamity did they sense and will it repeat?

I met the Red Neko multiple times while I was down in the Foundation, usually in high places and almost always inside a box. Always felt like it was trying to tell me something, but I could never figure out what that was... Good drinking buddy though. Certainly more well behaved than glitchy arse vending machine... (only time that asshat ain't around is when we need it)

@@GamingUniversityUoG Pro Tip to anyone coming to Investigations: bring a sidearm. Not for the Hiss, just so you can shoot the vending machines from a distance. Darn thing often rams into things on the way out, including people and it can sometimes pack enough force to damage HRAs.

i posted on the community post about the video being delayed and mentioned it may be the neko statue. edit (1) because this used to be a reply: 4:50 you know, a prison brake isn't unlikely as the action-maxx camera was the only item taken down with it, an item that was most likely on it's way to chester bless so he had interest in the item and clearly wanted it (as well as being an black sheep among the item's he has most likely made or are related to him in general). it would mean it was likely not intended to arrive at the foundation and maybe was intended to be at the lobby, if it was meant to go to the foundation then chester would have a way to get people there as i don't think he's dumb enothe to get people to walk thro the front door, tho it may be less of a prison brake and more of a disposing of the evident's thing a "we were just told to make sure you didn't get it" so they just disposed of the camera in a place were it probably won't be able to do anything. i do now believe chester may be Theodor ash jr as it just fit's well especially if it was meant to go to the foundation. sorry for bad spelling youtube spell-check suck's. edir (2): i didn't make this clear before so i'll say it now edit 1 was a reply i made to this comment

@@GamingUniversityUoG I can relate in a way. I have dogs and they love to steal seats. I kid you not they are very cat like in that regard and in a few other ways (they are actually beagles but they act like cats which is sadly ironic because I want a Ragdoll or Ragamuffin cat but I can’t because of numerous factors preventing me from owning one). And funnily enough there are cats that act very dog like including my favorite cat breed the lovable Ragdoll.

It's great. I hope that the following that I am going to comment is not considered "spam". A year ago I made a video explaining why Jesse was called until the Hiss infection was very advanced, this was because "The Board" wanted it that way, after all they knew of his existence and his movements many years ago. In the foundation, the "Hiss" is allowed in so that Jesse will connect directly to the nail, let's say Jesse is putting a chain tied right on the nail. Pope mentions that the Hiss can't corrupt the nail, so why was "The Board" worried? "The Board" was the one who displaced Gibbs's apartment, all to get some guards to watch the nail of "The Former". It is no coincidence that a Gibbs transformed by the Hiss is guarding the nail of "The Former" La teoria esta más expandida en el video que hice y esta como video muestra en mi canal. It is not relevant to the video, but I was looking at Alan Wake 2 on the PS store, and I was looking at the sample images, and I noticed that Saga is looking at some wooden upright triangles and maybe it's a reference to the inverted black pyramid or a contrast of sorts. I also noticed another image of Alan in a street scene, and he is standing next to a hotel called Oceanview Hotel. I can't make much sense of it, but I thought I would point it out.

I believe that there is an undeniable connection between these altered items and the Yokai from Japanese folklore. Their behavior can range from malevolent or mischievous to benevolent to humans. Some yōkai resemble inanimate objects (such as the tsukumogami), while others have no discernible shape. (The Water cooler?) Yōkai are typically described as having spiritual or supernatural abilities, with shapeshifting being the most common trait associated with them. Yōkai that shapeshift are known as bakemono (化け物) or obake (お化け).(the salamander with human eyes?) In Japanese folklore, tsukumogami are tools that have acquired a kami or spirit. there is a theory that foxes and tanuki, among other beings, that have lived for at least a hundred years and changed forms are considered tsukumogami. Today, the term is generally understood to be applied to virtually any object "that has reached its 100th birthday and thus become alive and self-aware" Obake and bakemono are a class of yōkai, preternatural creatures in Japanese folklore. Literally, the terms mean a thing that changes, referring to a state of transformation or shapeshifting. These words are often translated as "ghost", but primarily they refer to living things or supernatural beings who have taken on a temporary transformation, and these bakemono are distinct from the spirits of the dead.[1] However, as a secondary usage, the term obake can be a synonym for yūrei, the ghost of a deceased human being.[2](Dr. Darling?) A bakemono's true form may be an animal such as a fox (kitsune), a raccoon dog (bake-danuki), a badger (mujina), a transforming cat (bakeneko), the spirit of a plant-such as a kodama, or an inanimate object which may possess a soul in Shinto and other animistic traditions. Obake derived from household objects are often called tsukumogami. A bakemono usually either disguises itself as a human or appears in a strange or terrifying form such as a hitotsume-kozō a bald-headed child with one eye in the center of its forehead similar to a cyclops (Former?), an ōnyūdō(?), or a noppera-bō or faceless ghost, a Japanese yōkai that looks like a human but has no face.(Mannequin?) I fell down this rabbit hole looking for more info on the red ramen lantern which just so happens to be a yokai associated with haunted houses 💀 Nekomata are a kind of cat yōkai described in Japanese folklore in addition to nekomata that conceal themselves in the mountains(the Board?/Oldest House), there are descriptions of pet cats that grow old, transform, and eat and abduct people. Maybe explaining the abduction of an entire department… It really feels more and more like a haunted house
