Medicaid should be for the elderly who can’t afford health insurance not for young mothers to have more babies where their hospital bills are paid for. I’ve seen this too many times. It’s pure laziness on the parents of the children being born. Why work when the States will pay for the medical expenses for not only them but for the children. They know that under a certain amount monthly, it guarantees them free medical insurance and they know how to work and take advantage of the system for way too long. Our elderly has been forgotten for way too long, and it’s wrong. Age discrimination has made it almost impossible for older people to work but the cost of Medicare, medicine, doctor visit and insurance goes higher and higher every year. They can’t get assistance’s from Medicaid because they may have a savings and a few stocks that they have adding to before losing their job, and are now expected to dwindle that down to poverty level, before being offered help. It’s distorted and backwards. Stop catering to one group while punishing the other.
