Could not agree with You more. David Soul, as Mike Lee Platt in made for T.V. Movie "In the Line of Duty: The F.B.I. Murders" was and is forever more Emmy Worthy. RIP Mr. David Soul.

This was terrific. I remember when it came on for the first time, I was about 12. Never looked at Mr. Keaton the same way again.

Mattix and Platt SAW the FBI and were ready to shoot it out. In the movie Platt (Soul) is aware of this, loads his Mini-14 rifle in plain view for the agents to see.

0:51 David Soul here with an excellent portrayal of the criminal, narcissist, and (at times) addict mindset. No toleration for any frustration. Not wanting to work hard, wanting things to be easy.

@UCSPanther20 I agree. They had strong backgrounds and people who knew them were shocked when this came out, to people they knew they were polite and even friendly but "on the job" they were ruthless.

Mini-14 in full auto? I think Hollywood did that to show how evil full auto is. I also like the end when he says "How much ammo did you get?" He responds with "Five thousand" ... Then they both have this evil laugh. I have about four thousand rounds but when I get to five I will also do that evil laugh. Silly Hollywood.

Soul's character definitely had anger management issues big time. Would enjoy seeing an alternate universe version of the Miami Dade Shootout with social workers attempting to resolve that situation instead of armed FBi agents. That alone would put to rest any ideas as to replacing LEOs with SJWs.

What the hell is your problem? Do you live in Fantasyland or something? They just walked in. I mean like, what do you think this is, studio 54? They got a bouncer at the door that decides who gets in and who has to hit the road and stay out? It's the early 80s, not like today where they need a security task force at many schools to search and screen the students for weapons before being let into the school grounds. You know, whiter America where there was certainly a bigger police presence because unlike today, you can now tint your driver side window black as coal and what is against the law for obvious reasons, has fell wayside in lieu of never having enough cops or the funding to tackle what is an effect a lawless America now where yes it would be conceivably harder to just walk in military terrorist style when considering most banks now have some $16 an hour third worlder security guard out in front and not for the sake of protecting the money lmfao, no sir my dimwitted low voltage amigo....nooo. It's to protect liability and once again not because of security in terms of human life, oh no sir.... It's for customer retention sake and nothing else just to keep it all honest in appearance. There's more value in stealing catalytic converters and frontal airbags systems than robbing banks where in effect cash is king of all toilets that stink, getting to the point of Weimar germany where there is more value in stealing the basket itself and dumping the money on the ground. The money doesn't even exist in all reality. Gee how do they just walk in duhhhhh..... Wow....
