i think how you should do the skill points is that after every season you check how much g/a you got that season and add that many skill points, and if you think its too many/ too little you could double/ half it etc, and for playstyles you should recieve one for every trophy

For one goal you get one skill point. Two goals. You get three skill points. Three goals you get five skilled ones and if you get five goals you get seven skill points. No more after that

If you wanna do a player career with a lower overall just create a player before starting the career mode and select the overall stats yourself to make the player a lower overall then select real life player in career mode and it lets you play as them the same but with a lower overall, I always do this and start with players under 60 overall to build them up over 5-6 seasons before your already in the high 80s
