want you to succeed so pls hear this as a suggestion. if this is the major use for this car, ur going to want to replace everything related to steering, power steering or not, u are fighting when the car should be complying and that’s a great recipe for a crash, be safe and keep drivin

suspension and damping seems dicey. Try moving to stock ride height, and better dampers. I think softer springs would be good. Your ride is not flat at all nice driving

I Have fc as well. My suggestion is- you car is probably to low from how bad it takes the bumps. I had to raise mine up for same reason. I also added helper springs to the coil overs and adjusted the shock body for more droop. Droop went from 1.5 inch to 3.xx droop. My car is already taking bumps better.

it looks like there's a lot of free play in the steering, is that true? midcorner looks like you are correcting a lot and the car barely responds, on some straights you moved the wheel 10 degrees both direction and it seems to do nothing... did you get an alignment done? have you checked for bump steer? p.s. i have a manual rack NA miata, so i can understand how during a corner some bumps try to "yank" the wheel off your hands, but still it looks way too much... but it's a different car so who knows, might be perfectly fine

No free play I can assure you. The rack is depowered but not all the way completed, and the S4 FC rack is the shortest-ratio rack out of the FC's, so that explains the high level of yank. The road we ran is really just that bumpy haha. Anyway thanks for watching!🤍

Is it me or is the suspension setup way too hard? The car looks jumpy and jittery. The MX-5 with the more supple suspension seems to take the bumps on the road in its stride while the RX-7 bounces and crashes. The car's suspension should be ironing out the imperfections of the road, not try to actively kill you! Anyway, nice rotary content (Rx-8 driver, here)!
