As a South African, it's really crazy, because obviously it's summer during Christmas for us, so I fully associate it with beach time. Even "stranger", we almost always have fish for Christmas lunch, because we have a beach house where we can get fresh fish.

Born and raised in Newcastle, we would get new pyjamas for Christmas Eve and new clothes for Christmas Day. The clothes might not have been anything “fancy”, sometimes they included the new footy shirt, but would often be new pants/trousers of some sort and new shoes/trainers.

My version of a christmas outfit was my new kit for that year. Being American, it was hard to find Everton kits without ordering them from the club, so every year I'd get my choice of the 3 shirts for that season, and that was one of my Christmas presents, so for Christmas day I'd just wear joggers and whatever kit I got that year
